System and method for offering multiple products

Abstract

A system and method for a supplier to offer multiple products to a first person and multiple pre-owned products to a second person is disclosed.

1 . A method, comprising: 
 determining a value associated with a first product that is in the possession of a first party;    identifying a query, from a second party, the query indicating a desire of the second party to acquire the first product;    arranging, based at least in part on the identifying, for the first party to provide the first product to the second party; and    providing, based at least in part on the arranging, a benefit to the first party.    
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the benefit comprises an amount of credit.  
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the amount of credit is operable to be utilized by the first party to acquire a second product.  
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the benefit comprises compensation.  
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the benefit comprises a discount.  
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the discount is operable to be utilized by the first party to facilitate acquisition of a second product.  
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the benefit comprises an agreement to set a financing term required for a purchase of a second product by the first party to be equivalent to a financing term associated with the first product.  
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 7 , wherein the financing term comprises a number of payments required to purchase the second product.  
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 7 , wherein the financing term comprises a payment amount associated with each of a plurality of payments required to purchase the second product.  
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the value associated with the first product comprises a fair market value of the first product.  
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein the determining of the fair market value of the first product comprises: 
 determining a condition of the first product.    
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the determining of the value associated with the first product comprises: 
 receiving an indication of the value from an appraisal entity.    
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the determining of the value associated with the first product is based at least in part on the query from the second party.  
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the query comprises an indication of an amount the second party is willing to pay for the first product and wherein the determining of the value associated with the first product is based at least in part on the amount the second party is willing to pay for the first product.  
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the identifying of the query from the second party comprises receiving the query.  
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the arranging comprises arranging for the first party to ship the first product to the second party.  
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the arranging comprises arranging for the first party to deliver the first product to the second party.  
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the arranging comprises arranging for the first party to give the first product over to a merchant, allowing the second party to acquire the first product via the merchant.  
     
     
         19 . A system, comprising: 
 a processor; and    a storage device in communication with said processor and storing instructions adapted to be executed by said processor to:    determine a value associated with a first product that is in the possession of a first party;    identify a query, from a second party, the query indicating a desire of the second party to acquire the first product;    arrange, based at least in part on the identifying, for the first party to provide the first product to the second party; and    provide, based at least in part on the arranging, a benefit to the first party.    
     
     
         20 . A medium storing instructions adapted to be executed by a processor to: 
 determine a value associated with a first product that is in the possession of a first party;    identify a query, from a second party, the query indicating a desire of the second party to acquire the first product;    arrange, based at least in part on the identifying, for the first party to provide the first product to the second party; and    provide, based at least in part on the arranging, a benefit to the first party.
