Claims
Abstract
A carrier useful in the field of telecommunications to which a plurality of telecommunications modules are mountable. The carrier includes at least one spacer adapted to create a wire or cable slack by spacing the wires or cables from that part of the carrier on which the spacer is provided. An assembly comprising at least one carrier and at least one telecommunications module is also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A telecommunication assembly comprising:
an open ended carrier having a trough-like cross-section with a bottom and at least one sidewall; a telecommunication module pivotally attached to the sidewall of the carrier by a hinge, wherein the telecommunication module has a rear side disposed adjacent to the carrier when the telecommunication module is closed; and wires connected to the rearside of the telecommunication module, wherein the carrier includes a first guiding hook mounted to the at least one side wall of the carrier near the bottom wall to retain the wires near the sidewall of the carrier and a spacer mounted to the at least one side wall of the carrier between the wireguide and the hinge, the spacer to create slack in the wires by spacing the wires from the at least one side wall of the carrier when the telecommunications module is closed.
2 . The carrier according to claim 1 wherein the plurality of telecommunications modules are mountable to be pivotable about a pivot axis relative to the carrier.
3 . The carrier according to claim 2 wherein a hinge pin forms the pivot axis.
4 . The carrier according to claim 1 wherein the carrier has an interior with at the most two open sides and the spacer is provided in the interior of the carrier.
5 . The carrier according to claim 2 wherein at least one a second guiding hook is provided near the pivot axis.
6 . The assembly according to claim 1 wherein a guiding hook is provided on the telecommunications module.
7 . A telecommunication assembly comprising:
an open ended carrier having a bottom wall and a side wall; a telecommunication module pivotally attached to the sidewall of the carrier by a hinge, wherein the telecommunication module has a rear side disposed adjacent to the carrier when the telecommunication module is closed; and wires connected to the rearside of the telecommunication module, wherein the carrier includes a first guiding hook mounted to the side wall of the carrier near the bottom wall to retain the wires near the sidewall of the carrier and a spacer mounted to the side wall of the carrier between the wireguide and the hinge, the spacer maintains a slight bend in the wires when the telecommunication module is in an open position slack wherein the bend creates slack when the telecommunication module is closed.
8 . The carrier according to claim 7 wherein the plurality of telecommunications modules are mountable to be pivotable about a pivot axis relative to the carrier.
9 . The carrier according to claim 8 wherein a hinge pin forms the pivot axis.
10 . The carrier according to claim 7 wherein the carrier has an interior with at the most two open sides and the spacer is provided in the interior of the carrier.
11 . The carrier according to claim 8 wherein at least one a second guiding hook is provided near the pivot axis.
