Abstract
A bearing has an inner race that has separable inner sections. The inner race has an inner male protrusion and an inner female receptacle, and each inner male protrusion is mated with one of the inner female receptacles to form a unitary inner race. The bearing further has an outer race that has separable outer sections,. The outer race has an outer male protrusion and an outer female receptacle, and each outer male protrusion is mated with one of the outer female receptacles to form a unitary outer race. Further, the bearing has a plurality of rollers situated within a channel formed by engaging the inner race and the outer race.

15 . An automobile engine, comprising:
a crankshaft having a crankshaft rod and a plurality of rod journals; a plurality of main roller bearings engaged with the crankshaft rod; and a plurality of rod roller bearings engaged with each rod journal.
16 . The automobile engine of claim 15 , wherein at least one main roller bearing comprises separable sections.
17 . The automobile engine of claim 15 , wherein at least one rod roller bearing comprises separable sections.
18 . The automobile engine of claim 15 , wherein each rod roller bearing section comprises an inner race and an outer race engaged with a plurality of rollers.
19 . The automobile engine of claim 18 , wherein the inner race comprises inner separable sections and each inner section is affixed to another inner section via a tongue and groove mechanism.
20 . The automobile engine of claim 19 , wherein the outer race comprises outer separable sections and each outer section is affixed to another outer section via a tongue and groove mechanism.
21 . The automobile engine of claim 19 , wherein one of the sections comprises a male protrusion and another one of the sections comprises a female receptacle.
22 . The automobile engine of claim 21 , wherein the male protrusion comprises at least one spring-loaded pin that extends from the male protrusion when the male protrusion is coupled to the female receptacle.
23 . The automobile engine of claim 22 , wherein the female receptacle comprises at least one opening comprising an inner wall.
24 . The automobile engine of claim 23 , wherein when the male protrusion is inserted into the female receptacle, the spring-loaded pin depresses until it is aligned with the opening.
