Lighted lens housing for jewelers loupe

Abstract

A lighted lens housing is provided, having led(s) placed in progression around a lens opening. The light generated from led(s) is directed to a desired focal point by means of deflector ring found adjacent the outer edge of led(s). A central lens channel is provided for the insertion and placement of a desired lens. A threaded opening at one end of lens channel for attachment to a typical jewelers loupe. Electrical power is provided by button cell battery.

1 ) A lens housing comprising; 
 a body,    an illumination means,    a lens receiving channel,    a means for attachment to a typical jewelers loupe.    
   
   
       2 ) The lens housing of  claim 1 , wherein said illumination means is a led,  
   
   
       3 ) The lens housing of  claim 2 , wherein, said illumination means is a plurality.  
   
   
       4 ) The lens housing of  claim 1 , wherein said body is provided with a light deflection means for redirecting the light rays from said illumination means to a desired focal point.  
   
   
       5 ) A lens housing for receiving a lens for magnification, comprising; 
 a body,    at least one led,    a light deflection means for redirecting light rays from said led to a focal point and,    a means to provide electrical power and,    a means to affix.    
   
   
       6 ) The lens housing of  claim 5  wherein said body is provided with a lens receiving channel.  
   
   
       7 ) The lens housing of  claim 6  wherein, said lens receiving channel has a first end and a second end.  
   
   
       8 ) The lens housing of  claim 7  wherein, said second end of said lens receiving channel has means to affix to a jewelers loupe.  
   
   
       9 ) The lens housing of  claim 5 , wherein said at least one led is a plurality.  
   
   
       10 ) A lens housing for attachment to a jewelers loupe comprising; 
 a body provided with recesses and at least one chamber and,    a means for illumination and,    a lens channel and,    a means to provide electrical current to said illumination means.    
   
   
       11 ) The lens housing of  claim 10 , wherein said lens channel has a first end and a second end.  
   
   
       12 ) The lens housing of  claim 11 , wherein said means for illumination is adjacent said first end of said lens channel.  
   
   
       13 ) The lens housing of  claim 12 , wherein said means for illumination is a plurality of led(s) spaced apart.  
   
   
       14 ) The lens housing of  claim 11 , wherein said second end of said lens channel has an attachment means to affix to a jewelers loupe.  
   
   
       15 ) The lens housing of  claim 10 , further comprising a means for deflecting light rays produced by said illumination means to a desired focal point.  
   
   
       16 ) The Lens housing of  claim 5 , wherein the light deflection means is annular.
