Abstract
At least one exemplary vegetated mat planting method can comprise: covering a non-soil vegetated mat growing platform with sheeting; applying strips of mesh netting over the sheeting; applying a growing medium over the mesh netting; applying plant material to the growing medium; lifting a netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat from an underlying sheet covering a non-soil growing platform; and/or positioning the strip of vegetated mat on a transplantation site.

covering a non-soil vegetated mat growing platform with sheeting; applying strips of mesh netting over the sheeting; applying compost over the mesh netting; and applying plant material to the compost.

preparing the non-soil vegetated mat growing platform.

8 . A vegetated mat transplanting method comprising:
lifting a netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat from an underlying sheet covering a non-soil growing platform; and positioning the strip of vegetated mat on a transplantation site.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
unsecuring the netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat.
10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
rolling up the netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat.
11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
preparing the transplantation site.
12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
leveling the transplantation site.
13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
applying a layer of compost at the transplantation site.
14 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
applying a layer of compost over a soil at a transplantation site.
15 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
rolling out the netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat onto the transplantation site.
16 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
trimming the netting-reinforced strip of vegetated mat to fit the transplantation site.
17 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
irrigating the positioned netting-reinforced vegetated mat.
18 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the netting-reinforced vegetated mat is compost-nutrified.
19 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the netting-reinforced vegetated mat is sheeting-grown.
20 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the netting-reinforced vegetated mat is substantially soil-less.
21 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the underlying sheet is unattached to the non-soil growing platform.
22 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the underlying sheet is a rooting barrier.
