Systems, methods and apparatus to determine relevance of search results in whole/part search

Abstract

Systems, methods and apparatus are provided through which, in one aspect, one or more wholes and parts of wholes are searched in a database, presented to a user, sold and/or distributed.

1 . A computer-accessible medium having executable instructions to locate saleable items, the executable instructions capable of directing a processor to perform: 
 searching a database for products that contain all parsed words of a search phrase in at least one product level or sub-product level attribute; and    eliminating from results of the search, products that do not match a refining criteria.    
   
   
       2 . The computer-accessible medium of  claim 1 , wherein the executable instructions capable of directing the processor to search further comprise executable instructions capable of directing the processor to perform: 
 searching a database for products that contain all parsed words of a search phrase in at least one album level or track level attribute, and    wherein the executable instructions capable of directing the processor to eliminate non-matching products further comprise executable instructions capable of directing the processor to perform: 
 eliminating from results of the search, albums that do not match a refining criteria.  
   
   
   
       3 . The computer-accessible medium of  claim 2 , the medium further comprising executable instructions capable of directing a processor to perform: 
 determining relevancy of the non-eliminated search results in reference to an intention of the search.    
   
   
       4 . The computer-accessible medium of  claim 3 , wherein the executable instructions capable of directing the processor to determine relevancy further comprise executable instructions capable of directing the processor to perform: 
 determining relevancy of the non-eliminated search results, in reference to a whole-biased rule set that favors wholes as a primary ordering criteria.    
   
   
       5 . The computer-accessible medium of  claim 4 , wherein the whole-biased rule set further comprises an album-biased rule set.
