Abstract
In some embodiments, an electromagnetic motor/generator may include a frame, an axle, first and second magnetic sections coupled to the axle, a center magnet section, and a solenoid coupled to the frame and the center magnet section, the solenoid adapted to move the center magnetic section to cause movement of the first and second magnetic sections, and thereby cause rotation of the axle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An electromagnetic motor/generator, comprising:
a frame; a magnetic section having an upper magnet, a lower magnet, and a center magnet, coupled to the frame; at least one solenoid coupled to the frame and the center magnet.
2 . The motor/generator of claim 1 , wherein the solenoid moves the center magnet back and forth.
3 . The motor/generator of claim 2 , wherein the movement of the center magnet causes the upper magnet and the lower magnet rotate.
4 . The motor/generator of claim 3 , wherein the upper and lower magnet are coupled to an axle coupled to the frame.
5 . The motor/generator of claim 4 , wherein the axle is rotated when the upper and lower magnets are rotated.
6 . The motor/generator of claim 5 , wherein the center magnet includes at least one magnetic block, the at least one magnetic block comprising:
a first magnet having a north and a south pole; a second magnet having a north and a south pole; a third magnet having a north and a south pole; a fourth magnet having a north and a south pole; wherein each magnet is adjacent to two other magnets to form the magnetic block having a center with 3 similar poles and one dissimilar pole.
7 . The motor/generator of claim 6 , wherein the magnetic block is generally rectangular.
8 . The motor/generator of claim 6 , wherein the 3 similar poles are north poles.
9 . The motor/generator of claim 6 , the four magnets being generally rectangular, the magnetic block having four outer corners formed from a portion of each of the four magnets, wherein the 3 similar poles of the center of the block are south poles, and wherein 3 of the outer comers include north poles.
10 . An electromagnetic motor/generator comprising:
a frame; an axle supported by the frame, the axle adapted to rotate about an axis; first and second magnetic sections coupled to the axle; a center magnet section disposed proximate the first and second magnetic sections, the center magnet section movably coupled to the frame; and a solenoid operatively coupled to the frame and the center magnet, the solenoid adapted to move the center magnet section between a first position and a second position when energized and de-energized, the movement of the center magnet section causing the axle to rotate.
11 . The motor/generator of claim 10 wherein the center magnet section comprises one or more magnetic groups, each magnetic group comprising:
a first magnet having a north and a south pole defining a first north-south axis; a second magnet having a north and a south pole defining a second north-south axis; a third magnet having a north and a south pole defining a third north-south axis; and a fourth magnet having a north and a south pole defining a fourth north-south axis; the first and fourth north-south axes being substantially parallel to each other, the second and third north-south axes being substantially parallel to each other, and the first and fourth north-south axes being substantially perpendicular to the second and third north-south axes, the north pole of the first magnet being adjacent to the north and south pole of the third magnet, the north pole of the second magnet being adjacent to the north and south pole of the first magnet, the north pole of the fourth magnet being adjacent to the north and south pole of the second magnet, and the south pole of the third magnet being adjacent to the north and south pole of the fourth magnet.
12 . The motor/generator of claim 11 , wherein the poles of the magnets form an L shaped pressure leg.
13 . The motor/generator of claim 12 , wherein the L shaped pressure leg has a north pole and a south pole, the north and south poles oriented substantially perpendicular to each other about the magnetic group.
14 . The motor/generator of claim 12 , wherein the center magnet section is disposed between the first and second magnetic sections.
15 . The motor/generator of claim 10 wherein the center magnet section includes one or more magnetic blocks, each of the one or more magnetic blocks comprising:
a first magnet having a north and a south pole; a second magnet having a north and a south pole; a third magnet having a north and a south pole; and a fourth magnet having a north and a south pole; wherein each magnet is adjacent to two other magnets to form the magnetic block having a center with 3 similar poles and one dissimilar pole.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
