Abstract

A fishing lure assembly and the method of making a unique fill composition that causes attractant scent compounds to be dispensed from the fishing lure assembly. The fishing lure assembly has a body that can retain a volume of fill composition. The fill composition contains an ion exchange material and attractant scent compounds that are ionically bonded together. When the fishing lure is submersed in water, the fill composition is exposed to a controlled flow of water. In an ion exchange reaction, ions contained within the water bond to the ion exchange material and thus free the previously bonded attractant scent compounds. The freed attractant scent compounds flow out of the lure assembly with the passing water.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A fishing lure assembly comprising:
an ionic attractant scent compound fill composition; a lure body comprising an internal chamber for receiving and storing the ionic attractant scent compound fill composition; and at least one flow hole comprising an opening on the outside of the lure body which is in fluid communication with the internal chamber, wherein the flow hole allows for at least one of the influx or efflux of at least one of the fill composition, a fluid, or both.

2 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the flow hole allows the efflux of ionic attractant scent compound fill composition from the internal chamber to the outside of the lure body.

3 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the flow hole further comprises a channel that is in fluid communication with the opening on the outside of the lure body and the internal chamber, wherein channel allows for at least one of the influx or efflux of at least one of the fill composition, a fluid, or both.

4 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lure body comprises a flow hole for filling or refilling the internal chamber with the ionic attractant scent compound fill composition, and wherein the fill flow hole comprises an opening on the outside of the lure body which is in fluid communication with the internal chamber.

5 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lure body comprises a porous structure having an internal chamber for receiving and storing the ionic attractant scent compound fill composition.

6 . The assembly of claim 5 , wherein the porous structure contains a plurality of flow holes therein.

7 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the ionic attractant scent compound fill composition is released from the lure body when said lure body is submersed in water.

8 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the ionic attractant scent compound fill composition comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of appropriate proteins, amino acids, citrates, and ionic materials.
