Abstract

An exercising machine includes a base frame having two positioning plates each of which has equiangularly spaced locating holes, and two crank arms respectively pivoted to the positioning plates. Two dampers are respectively coupled to the crank arms to impart a damping resistance during operation of the crank arms. Two positioning members are respectively movably mounted on the crank arms for selectively engaging into the locating holes of the positioning plates to secure the crank arms at a desired angle. Two spring members are sleeved onto the positioning members for forcing the positioning members into engagement with the locating holes of the positioning plates. Two levers are respectively pivoted to the crank arms for operation by the user to pull the positioning members away from the locating holes of the positioning members through a respective traction member.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An exercising machine comprising:
a base frame having a positioning plate with a plurality of locating holes and a crank arm pivoted to said positioning plate; a damper mounted in said base frame and coupled to said crank arm for imparting a damping resistance to said crank arm during operation of said crank arm by the user; and a position-control device having a lever pivoted to said crank arm, a positioning member for engaging into one of the locating holes of said positioning plate to secure the crank arm to the positioning plate, and a traction member connected between said lever and said positioning member for pulling by said lever to disengage said positioning member from the locating hole of the positioning plate.

2 . The exercising machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the position-control device further comprises a spring member sleeved onto the positioning member for forcing the positioning member into engagement with one locating hole of the positioning plate.

3 . The exercising machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said position-control device further comprises two locating plates respectively affixed to said crank arm; said traction member is inserted through the locating plates of the position-control device.

4 . An exercising machine comprising:
a base frame having a positioning plate with a plurality of locating holes and a crank arm pivoted to said positioning plate; and a position-control device having a lever pivoted to said crank arm, a positioning member movably mounted on said crank arm and engageable into one of the locating holes of said positioning plate to secure the crank arm to the positioning plate, a traction member connected between said lever and said positioning member for pulling by said lever to disengage said positioning member from the locating hole of the positioning plate, and a spring member sleeved onto the positioning member for forcing the positioning member into engagement with one of the locating holes of the positioning plate.

5 . The exercising machine as claimed in claim 4 , wherein said position-control device further comprises two locating plates respectively affixed to said crank arm; said traction member is inserted through the locating plates of the position-control device.
