Bat bag

Abstract

A bag for carrying bats includes a bag having a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall and a rear wall. A dividing panel extends vertically within the bag and defines a front compartment and a rear compartment. A pair of shoulder straps is positioned outwardly of the rear wall of the bag. At least one pocket is secured to an interior surface of the bag.

1 . A bag for carrying bats comprising, in combination: 
 a bag for carrying bats having a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall and a rear wall;    a dividing panel extending vertically within the bag and defining a front compartment and a rear compartment;    at least one strap secured to an exterior of the bag; and    at least one pocket in the front compartment secured to the dividing panel.    
   
   
       2 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a closeable opening in one of the side walls providing access to the rear compartment.  
   
   
       3 . The bag of  claim 2 , further comprising a fastener for securing the closeable opening.  
   
   
       4 . The bag of  claim 3 , wherein the fastener comprises a zipper.  
   
   
       5 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a closeable opening in the front wall of the bag.  
   
   
       6 . The bag of  claim 5 , further comprising a fastener for securing the closeable opening.  
   
   
       7 . The bag of  claim 6 , wherein the fastener comprises a zipper.  
   
   
       8 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a pocket in a top portion of the bag.  
   
   
       9 . The bag of  claim 8 , wherein the pocket includes a zippered opening.  
   
   
       10 . The bag of  claim 8 , wherein the pocket has an opening formed in the front wall.  
   
   
       11 . The bag of  claim 8 , wherein the pocket is formed of a see-through material.  
   
   
       12 . The bag of  claim 8 , wherein the pocket is formed of a clear material.  
   
   
       13 . The bag of  claim 8 , wherein the pocket is formed of a mesh material.  
   
   
       14 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of pockets secured to an interior surface of the front compartment.  
   
   
       15 . The bag of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one strap comprises a pair of shoulder straps positioned outwardly of the rear wall of the bag.  
   
   
       16 . The bag of  claim 15 , wherein each of the shoulder straps includes a pad.  
   
   
       17 . The bag of  claim 15 , wherein the shoulder straps are adjustable.  
   
   
       18 . The bag of  claim 15 , wherein the shoulder straps are secured to an exterior of the rear wall.  
   
   
       19 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a handle secured to an exterior of the bag.  
   
   
       20 . The bag of  claim 19 , wherein the handle comprises a strap secured at opposed ends thereof to the bag and a pad on an exterior surface of the strap.  
   
   
       21 . The bag of  claim 20 , wherein the pad surrounds a portion of the strap.  
   
   
       22 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a pocket secured to an exterior of the bag.  
   
   
       23 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a pocket formed in a lower portion of the front wall and accessible from an exterior of the bag.  
   
   
       24 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one clip for suspending the bag.  
   
   
       25 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising an openable panel forming a portion of the front wall, a lower edge of the openable panel being common with the front wall, the openable panel being suspended at its lower edge from the front wall when the openable panel is open.  
   
   
       26 . The bag of  claim 25 , further comprising at least one pocket secured to an interior surface of the openable panel and having an opening that is in a lower portion of the pocket when the openable panel is closed and in an upper portion of the pocket when the openable panel is open and suspended from the front wall.  
   
   
       27 . The bag of  claim 26 , wherein the at least one pocket has a zippered opening.  
   
   
       28 . The bag of  claim 1 , further comprising a pocket in a top portion of the bag and formed of a see-through material, the pocket being visible through the front wall when the openable panel is open and the bag is suspended from an object.  
   
   
       29 . A bag for carrying bats comprising, in combination: 
 a bag for carrying bats having a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall and a rear wall;    a dividing panel extending vertically within the bag and defining a front compartment and a rear compartment;    an opening formed in the rear compartment;    at least one strap secured to an exterior of the bag; and    a pocket positioned in the front compartment and secured to the dividing panel;    an openable panel forming a portion of the front wall, a lower edge of the openable panel being common with the front wall, the openable panel being suspended at its lower edge from the front wall when the openable panel is open;    a panel pocket secured to an interior surface of the openable panel and having an opening that is in a lower portion of the panel pocket when the openable panel is closed and in an upper portion of the panel pocket when the openable panel is open and suspended from the front wall.    
   
   
       30 . The bag of  claim 29 , wherein the at least one strap comprises a pair of shoulder straps.  
   
   
       31 . The bag of  claim 30 , wherein the shoulder straps are adjustable.  
   
   
       32 . The bag of  claim 29 , further comprising a handle secured to an exterior of the bag.  
   
   
       33 . A bag for carrying bats comprising, in combination: 
 a bag for carrying bats having a pair of opposed side walls, a front wall and a rear wall;    a dividing panel extending vertically within the bag and defining a front compartment and a rear compartment;    an opening formed in the rear compartment;    a pair of shoulder straps positioned outwardly of the rear wall of the bag; and    a first pocket positioned in the front compartment and secured to the dividing panel;    an openable panel forming a portion of the front wall, a lower edge of the openable panel being common with the front wall, the openable panel being suspended at its lower edge from the front wall when the openable panel is open;    a panel pocket secured to an interior surface of the openable panel and having an opening that is in a lower portion of the pocket when the openable panel is closed and in an upper portion of the panel pocket when the openable panel is open and suspended from the front wall;    a second pocket positioned in a top portion of the front compartment, a front wall of the second pocket being formed of a transparent material; and    a handle secured to a top of the bag.
