. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , wherein said kickstand includes a unshaped support bar.

. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , further comprising an undercarriage and wherein said kickstand is releasable mounted to said undercarriage.

. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , wherein said kickstand includes a support bar which may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, said support bar is spring biased such that said support bar will raise from said lowered position to said raised position, and be held there, under the force of a spring.

. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , wherein said kickstand includes a release and may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, said released being movable from a locked position to a release position, wherein said release when moved to said release position, said kickstand may be moved from the raised position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , wherein said kickstand includes a release and a support bar spring biased to a raised position and movable to a lowered position, said released being movable from a locked position to a release position, wherein said release when moved to said release position, said kickstand may be moved from the raised position to the lowered position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 1 , wherein said kickstand includes a release movable from a locked position to a release position, a support bar which may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, and a pair of springs acting on said support bar, wherein when said release is moved to said release position, said kickstand is movable from the raised position and the lowered position under the force of at least one of said springs.

. An ambulance cot for transporting a patient, said cot comprising:
a cot frame for support the patient thereon; a wheeled undercarriage supporting said cot frame; and a kickstand mounted to said undercarriage.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said wheeled undercarriage includes two pairs of wheels and said kickstand is mounted to said undercarriage such that one pair of said pairs of wheels is lifted in the air when said kickstand is in a lowered position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand has a lowered position and a raised position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand includes a unshaped support bar.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand is releasable mounted to said undercarriage.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand includes a support bar which may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, said support bar is spring biased such that said support bar will raise from said lowered position to said raised position, and be held there, under the force of a spring.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand includes a release and may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, said released being movable from a locked position to a release position, wherein said release when moved to said release position, said kickstand may be moved from the raised position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand includes a release and a support bar spring biased to a raised position and movable to a lowered position, said released being movable from a locked position to a release position, wherein said release when moved to said release position, said kickstand may be moved from the raised position to the lowered position.

. The ambulance cot of claim 8 , wherein said kickstand includes a release movable from a locked position to a release position, a support bar which may be positioned in a raised position and a lowered position, and a pair of springs acting on said support bar, wherein when said release is moved to said release position, said kickstand is movable from the raised position and the lowered position under the force of at least one of said springs.

. A method of weighing a patient on a platform scale, said method comprising:
carrying the patient upon an ambulance cot according to claim 1 , wherein said ambulance cot also includes a pair of wheels; and supporting the ambulance cot on the platform scale with said pair of wheels and said kickstand.
