Abstract
A frame assembly for mounting on a base. The frame assembly includes a mounting part attachable to the base, and a frame body for displaying one or more pictures. The frame body includes a cooperative part for engagement with the mounting part to secure the frame to the mounting part.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A frame assembly for mounting on a base, the frame assembly comprising:
a mounting part attachable to the base; a frame body for displaying at least one picture; and the frame body comprising a cooperative part for engagement with the mounting part to secure the frame body to the mounting part.
2 . A frame assembly according to claim 1 in which the mounting part is removably attachable to the base.
3 . A frame assembly according to claim 1 in which the frame body comprises at least one aperture through which said at least one picture is observable.
4 . A frame assembly according to claim 1 in which the frame body comprises at least one slot therein for receiving a plurality of pictures for storage thereof.
5 . A frame assembly according to claim 1 in which the mounting part comprises a contact portion engageable with the cooperative part and at least partially retainable therein upon engagement due to friction.
6 . A frame assembly according to claim 5 in which the contact portion is removably attached to the base by adhesive tape.
7 . A frame assembly according to claim 1 in which one of the mounting part and the cooperative part comprises a magnet and the other of the mounting part and the cooperative part comprises a magnetically attractive material such that the mounting part and the cooperative part are magnetically attracted to each other, whereby the frame body is removably attachable to the base due to said magnetic attraction.
8 . A system for displaying a plurality of pictures, the system comprising:
a base adapted to display at least one base picture; at least one frame assembly for mounting on the base, said at least one frame assembly comprising:
a mounting part attachable to the base;
a frame body for displaying a frame picture;
the frame body comprising a cooperative part for engagement with the mounting part to secure the frame body to the mounting part,
whereby said at least one frame assembly is attachable to the base for displaying the frame picture in a predetermined position relative to said at least one base picture.
9 . A system according to claim 8 in which the base comprises a border portion defining a display area, and at least part of said at least one base picture is observable in the display area.
10 . A system according to claim 8 in which the mounting part comprises a contact portion engageable with the cooperative part and at least partially retainable therein upon engagement due to friction.
11 . A system according to claim 10 in which the contact portion is removably attached to the base by adhesive tape.
12 . A system according to claim 8 in which the frame body of said at least one frame assembly comprises at least one aperture through which the frame picture is observable.
13 . A system according to claim 8 in which the frame body comprises at least one slot therein for receiving a plurality of pictures for storage thereof.
14 . A system according to claim 9 in which the mounting parts of a plurality of frame assemblies are positionable on the border portion of the base substantially in a predetermined pattern for displaying the frame pictures in predetermined relationships to said at least one base picture.
15 . A system according to claim 8 additionally comprising a tool for positioning said mounting parts on the base substantially in a predetermined pattern.
16 . A system according to claim 14 additionally comprising a tool for positioning said mounting parts on the border portion substantially in the predetermined pattern.
17 . A system according to claim 16 in which said mounting parts are removable from the border portion upon engagement thereof with an engagement end of the tool, the engagement end being adapted for substantially secure engagement of the tool to one of said mounting parts for removal thereof.
18 . A system according to claim 9 in which:
the base comprises a rear wall positioned opposite to the border portion and the display area; and the base additionally comprises a plurality of storage contact portions positioned on the rear wall, the storage contact portions being engageable with the cooperative parts of the frame bodies respectively for positioning frame bodies on the rear wall for storage thereof.
19 . A system according to claim 18 in which the base additionally comprises at least one slot in which at least one picture is receivable for storage thereof.
20 . A system according to claim 9 in which the border portion comprises a plurality of receptacles in which the frame bodies are receivable respectively, the receptacles being positioned in the border portion substantially in a preselected pattern.
21 . A kit of parts for a frame assembly for displaying at least one picture positioned on a base, the kit comprising:
a mounting part attachable to the base; a frame body for displaying at least one frame picture; and the frame body comprising a cooperative part for engagement with the mounting part to secure the frame body to the mounting part, whereby said at least one frame assembly is attachable to the base for displaying said at least one frame picture in a predetermined position relative to the base.
22 . A method of displaying at least one frame picture in a predetermined location relative to at least one base picture, the method comprising:
(a) providing a base adapted to display said at least one base picture; (b) providing at least one frame assembly for mounting on the base, said at least one frame assembly comprising:
a mounting part attachable to the base;
a frame body for displaying a frame picture;
the frame body comprising a cooperative part for engagement with the mounting part;
(c) attaching said at least one mounting part to the base; and (d) engaging the cooperative part of said at least one frame body with a contact portion of said at least one mounting part to locate the frame body in a predetermined position relative to said at least one base picture.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
