Abstract

An automotive air conditioner comprises an offset blower for blowing an air, an evaporator is centrally disposed within a dashboard and receives the air from below, and a heater approximately horizontally disposed above the evaporator. The evaporator inclines downward along the direction of the air flow. A plurality of condensed water guide plates are provided under the evaporator so as to allow a condensed water smoothly flow on the surface of each guide plate and is discharged from the evaporator through a condensed water drain pipe.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An air conditioner for a vehicle, comprising:
a blower for blowing air; a cooling heat exchanger located approximately horizontally such that the air blown by the blower flows through the cooling heat exchanger, wherein the cooling heat exchanger is tilted from a horizontal surface to have a tilted lower end portion; a case for directing the air from said blower to the cooling heat exchanger; a guide member for guiding condensed water generated on the cooling heat exchanger, the guide member being located below the cooling heat exchanger and approximately in contact with the tilted lower end portion of the cooling heat exchanger; and an air interruption member for restricting an air flow toward the tilted lower end portion of the cooling heat exchanger.

2 . The air conditioner according to claim 1 , wherein:
the guide member includes a plurality of guide plates extending from an inner bottom surface of the case toward the tilted lower end portion of the cooling heat exchanger.

3 . The air conditioner according to claim 2 , wherein the guide plates are located substantially parallel with each other.

4 . The air conditioner according to claim 1 , wherein the air interruption member is located to cross with a surface of the guide member.
