Personal assistant garment
Abstract
The present invention relates to clothing and more particularly to a garment designed to hold portable electronic devices and other items such as wallets, keys, etc. The garment has at least one and preferably more than one pocket to hold an electronic device, i.e., a cell phone. Each pocket includes an internal passageway that leads to an interior side of the vest. The garment also includes a central passageway system which includes two passageways that are on opposite sides of the central opening of the garment. The passageways are segmented and allow for installation of wires. The garment further includes a horizontal passageway that passes from the left side of the interior of the vest around the central portion of the back to the right side of the vest. In the central passageway system, one or more wires can be removed and installed from an individual passageway segment without disturbing other wires neatly fastened in other passageway segments.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A garment comprising:
a) a body having an interior surface and an exterior surface and including at least one opening adapted to receive a portion of a wearer's body therein; b) a pocket disposed at least partially on one of the interior surface or the exterior surface of the body and including an aperture allowing items to be inserted into the pocket, the pocket further including a wire opening spaced from the aperture and adapted to enable a wire extending from an item positionable within the pocket to pass therethrough; and c) a wire holding member secured to the body and spaced from the wire opening, the wire holding member adapted to hold the wire extending from the wire opening in the pocket.
2 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the wire holding member is formed as a flap fixedly secured to the body at one end and releasably secured to the body at an opposite end.
3 . The garment of claim 2 wherein the flap includes one portion of a releasable closure at on the opposite end that is engageable with a second portion of the releasable closure fixed to the body.
4 . The garment of claim 3 wherein the releasable closure is selected from the group consisting of: a mechanical closure, a hook and loop closure and a magnetic closure.
5 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the pocket is formed of an outer member and a portion of the interior surface or exterior surface of the body over which the outer member is attached.
6 . The garment of claim 5 wherein the wire opening is formed in the outer member.
7 . The garment of claim 5 wherein the wire opening is formed in the portion of the interior surface or the exterior surface of the body.
8 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the pocket includes a pouch having an open end and secured around the periphery of the open end to an opening in the body, such that the pouch is positioned against one of the interior surface or the exterior surface of the body.
9 . The garment of claim 8 wherein the opening in the body is selectively openable.
10 . The garment of claim 1 further comprising a number of wire holding members each secured to the body and spaced both from the wire opening and from one another.
11 . A garment comprising:
a) an inner shell; b) an outer shell secured over the inner shell; c) a first pocket disposed on one of the inner shell or the outer shell and having a wire opening formed therein; and d) a wire routing member defined by an open center formed between the inner shell and the outer shell and in communication with the wire opening in the first pocket, the wire routing member having an exit aperture formed in one of the inner shell or the outer shell and spaced from the first pocket to enable a wire entering the wire routing member from the first pocket to exit the wire routing member.
12 . The garment of- claim 11 wherein the exit aperture is located proximal to an upper end of the garment.
13 . The garment of claim 11 wherein the exit aperture is formed in a second pocket disposed on one of the inner shell or the outer shell and spaced from the first pocket.
14 . The garment of claim 11 further comprising a number of exit apertures formed in the inner shell and outer shell, each of the number of exit apertures spaced from one another and in communication with the open center of the garment.
15 . The garment of claim 11 further comprising a wire holding member disposed on one of the inner shell or the outer shell and spaced from the first aperture.
16 . The garment of claim 15 wherein the wire holding member is selected from the group consisting of: a pouch, an elastic loop and a reclosable flap.
17 . A garment comprising:
a) a body formed of an interior panel connected to an exterior panel to define an open center therebetween; b) at least one pocket passageway disposed on the interior panel and interconnected with the open center; c) at least one exterior pocket disposed on the exterior panel and interconnected with at least one of the open center or the at least one pocket passageway; and d) at least one interior pocket disposed on the interior panel and interconnected with at least one of the open center or the at least one pocket passageway.
18 . The garment of claim 17 wherein the at least one pocket passageway is selectively openable.
19 . The garment of claim 17 further comprising a wire holding member disposed on one of the inner shell or the outer shell and spaced from the at least one pocket passageway.
20 . A garment comprising:
a) a body section having an interior surface and an exterior surface and adapted to receive a portion of a wearer's body therein; b) a pocket disposed at least partially on one of the interior surface or the exterior surface of the body section and including an aperture that allows an electronic device to be inserted into the pocket and remain electronically associated via a wire with a complementary device, the pocket further including an opening that is adapted to enable a wire extending between said electronic device positioned within the pocket and said complementary device to pass therethrough; and c) a wire holding member secured to the body section and spaced from said opening, the wire holding member adapted to guide the wire extending from the pocket along a contour of said body section.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
