Abstract
The invention provides a conjugate of hemoglobin and a nucleic acid cross-linking agent.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of combating viral or bacterial infection, comprising:
(A) parenterally administering to a mammalian subject in need thereof an effective amount of a conjugate of hemoglobin and a nucleic acid cross-liking agent, and thereafter (B) irradiating said subject.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein in step (B), irradiation is applied internally.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein prior to irradiation, luciferine is administered to said subject.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein in step (B), irradiation is applied externally.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein said irradiation is X-ray irradiation.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said viral infection in retroviral infection.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said nucleic acid cross-liking agent is a psoralen.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said nucleic acid cross-liking agent is selected from the group consisting of an isopsoralen, an acridine, a haloethylamine, a haloethylsulfide, an epoxide and an aziridine.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said nucleic acid cross-liking agent is 8-methoxy psoralen.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said nucleic acid cross-liking agent is meloxine.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
