Abstract
A piston and ring cleaner fluid for cleaning and decarbonizing internal combustion engines adapted to be added through spark plug openings for soaking and removal comprises (1) 40 to 50 percent by weight of Benzyl Alcohol, Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number 100-51-6; (2) 45 to 55 percent by weight of NMP, Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number 872-50-4; and (3) 4 to 10 percent by weight of NP 9, Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number 127087-87-0.
