Abstract
An exemplary low noise blower fan includes a base plate for supporting a rotating shaft and a bearing. The shaft is rotated in the bearing. A vibration damping pad is attached to the base plate. The pad is made of damping material. Accordingly, vibration caused by the base plate can be damped by the pad, whereby noise of the fan is suppressed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A blower fan comprising a base plate for supporting a rotating shaft and a bearing, the shaft rotatably received in the bearing, a vibration damping pad attached to the base plate.
2 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the pad is made of damping material.
3 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the pad is made of bitumen.
4 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the pad is made of composite materials.
5 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a sealing plate sandwiched between the base and the pad.
6 . A blower fan comprising:
a case comprising a base plate, a sleeve extending upwardly from the base plate; a bearing fixed within the sleeve; a shaft rotatably extending through the bearing; and a pad madding of damping material adhered to the base plate.
7 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 6 , further comprising a sealing plate sandwiched between the base plate and the pad, the sealing plate enclosing one end o the sleeve adjacent the base plate.
8 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the base plate defines a recess in a surface facing the pad, the sealing plate being received in the recess.
9 . The blower fan as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the pad is made of bitumen.
