Abstract
The invention relates to an arrangement for fitting a brake assist device ( 10 ) in a motor vehicle having at least one fastening element ( 18, 20 ), which is disposed on and projects from a housing ( 12 ) of the brake assist device ( 10 ), wherein the at least one fastening element ( 18, 20 ) is provided with a retaining structure, by means of which it is fastenable to a vehicle chassis. The invention further provides that an adapter device ( 22 ), which is fastenable to the vehicle chassis so as to face the brake assist device ( 10 ) and which comprises at least one receiving opening ( 34, 36 ) for receiving the at least one fastening element ( 18, 20 ), wherein there is associated with the at least one receiving opening ( 34, 36 ) in each case a complementary retaining structure that interacts with the retaining structure on the at least one fastening element ( 18, 20 ).

characterized in that the brake assist device ( 10 ; 110 ) is formed by a brake force generator or by a brake booster.
3 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the adapter device ( 22 ; 122 ) is constructed with fastening bores ( 28 ; 128 ) for engine-compartment side fitting to a splashboard of the motor vehicle.
4 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the adapter device ( 22 ; 122 ) has a receiving channel ( 32 ; 132 ) for receiving an actuating input portion ( 14 ; 114 ) of the brake assist device ( 10 ; 110 ).
5 . Arrangement according to claim 4 ,
characterized in that the receiving channel for receiving an actuating input portion ( 14 ; 114 ) and the receiving opening for receiving the at least one fastening element ( 18 , 20 ; 118 , 120 ) coincide.
6 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the at least one fastening element ( 18 , 20 ) is formed by a profiled bolt, which is provided at its free end with a diameter contraction ( 54 ) forming the retaining structure, wherein the adapter device ( 22 ) is provided with in each case one detent spring ( 38 , 40 ), which is fitted in the receiving opening ( 34 , 36 ) and engages into the diameter contraction ( 54 ).
7 . Arrangement according to claim 6 ,
characterized in that the detent spring ( 38 , 40 ) is locked in its associated receiver ( 34 , 36 ) against an axial movement.
8 . Arrangement according to claim 6 ,
characterized in that the profiled bolt ( 46 ) is provided with a pilot pin or/and with a spreader ramp ( 48 ).
9 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized by a, preferably elastic, buffer element ( 60 ), which is disposed between the adapter device ( 22 ) and the brake assist device ( 10 ).
10 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the at least one fastening element ( 118 , 120 ) is formed by a headed bolt, which is provided at its free end with a detent head ( 166 , 168 ) of enlarged diameter that forms the retaining structure, wherein the respective associated receiver ( 176 , 178 ) of the adapter device ( 122 ) is designed in the form of a bayonet groove for receiving and locking in each case one headed bolt ( 118 , 120 ).
11 . Arrangement according to claim 10 ,
characterized in that the bayonet groove for fixing the brake assist device comprises in each case a ramp profile ( 188 ), which interacts with the headed bolt ( 118 , 120 ) and onto which the headed bolt ( 118 , 120 ) runs during fitting of the brake assist device on the adapter device ( 122 ).
12 . Arrangement according to claim 10 ,
characterized by a stop face ( 192 ) on the bayonet groove that provides a predefined relative position between brake assist device ( 110 ) and adapter device ( 122 ).
13 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the fastening element is designed as a shank portion that projects from the brake assist device, and that the adapter device has a corresponding counterpart shank portion ( 230 , 314 ) that is connectable to the shank portion.
14 . Arrangement according to claim 13 ,
characterized in that the shank portion ( 214 ) is insertable into the counterpart shank portion ( 230 ), wherein the shank portion ( 214 ) on its outer peripheral surface has the retaining structure ( 220 ), in particular a bayonet locking formation, and that the counterpart shank portion ( 230 ) on its inner peripheral surface ( 232 ) has the complementary retaining structure ( 234 ), in particular a complementary bayonet locking formation.
15 . Arrangement according to claim 13 ,
characterized in that the counterpart shank portion ( 314 ) is insertable into the shank portion ( 330 ), wherein the counterpart shank portion ( 314 ) on its outer peripheral surface has the retaining structure ( 320 ), in particular a bayonet locking formation, and that the shank portion ( 330 ) on its inner peripheral surface ( 332 ) has the complementary retaining structure ( 334 ), in particular a complementary bayonet locking formation.
16 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that the fastening element, in particular the shank portion according to claim 13 , is constructed on a coupling element ( 210 ; 310 ), which may be fitted as a separate component or as an assembly group on the brake assist device.
17 . Arrangement according to claim 1 ,
characterized in that on at least one component of adapter device ( 122 ) and brake assist device ( 110 ) a fixing element ( 194 ; 198 ; 200 ) is provided for fixing the brake assist device ( 110 ) on the adapter device ( 122 ) in the predefined relative position.
18 . Arrangement according to claim 17 ,
characterized in that the fixing element ( 194 ) is formed by a fixing screw or by a fixing pin.
19 . Arrangement according to claim 17 ,
characterized in that the fixing element ( 194 ) is formed by a high-friction surface that interacts with a corresponding counterpart surface on the respective other component of adapter device ( 122 ) and brake assist device ( 110 ).
20 . Arrangement according to claim 19 ,
characterized in that the fixing element ( 200 ) comprises a blade formation, which is provided with a number of locking blades ( 202 ) that are aligned sloping at a setting angle (α) in a locking direction.
21 . Method of fitting a brake assist device in a motor vehicle, having an arrangement according to claim 1 , comprising the steps:
