Mold and process for forming a desired wall surface
Abstract
Shape structure or mold usable to form a desired wall surface includes a first region constructed for being attached to the wall; and a second region constructed for being located in an opening formed in the wall. The first region may be constructed as a flange and the second region as a body. The body may be constructed to form either a recess or protrusion when placed in the opening of the wall. An inner surface of the body is formed with plural recesses. The mold may also include a third region for fastening to the wall, and the wall may be a shower wall. A process of forming a desired wall surface includes the steps of forming an opening in a preliminary wall; fastening shape structure within the opening; and finishing the shape structure and preliminary wall to achieve the desired wall surface. The fastening step may include the substeps of locating the shape structure within the opening, and attaching a region of the shape structure to the preliminary wall. The forming step may involve using a preliminary wall of an interior building, and may be done by cutting an opening in the preliminary wall. The fastening step may include the substep of choosing shape structure ultimately to form either a recess or protrusion in the desired wall.

4 . The shape structure of claim 3 , wherein the second region is constructed with an inner surface that includes plural recesses.
5 . The shape structure of claim 4 , wherein the body is formed with a floor and walls, and wherein the plural recesses are formed as squared-shaped recesses in the floor and rectangular-shaped recesses in the walls.
6 . The shape structure of claim 5 , wherein the rectangular-shaped recesses are formed to extend across the walls and into the floor.
7 . The shape structure of claim 2 , wherein the second region in constructed as a body.
8 . The shape structure of claim 3 , wherein the body is constructed to form a recess when placed in the opening of the wall.
9 . The shape structure of claim 7 , wherein the body is constructed to form a recess when placed in the opening of the wall.
10 . The shape structure of claim 3 , wherein the body is constructed to form a protrusion when placed in the opening of the wall.
11 . The shape structure of claim 7 , wherein the body is constructed to form a protrusion when placed in the opening of the wall.
12 . The shape structure of claim 1 , wherein the first region is constructed for being attached to a shower wall, and the second region is constructed for being located in an opening formed in the shower wall.
13 . The shape structure of claim 1 , further including a third region for fastening to the wall.
14 . A mold usable to form a desired shower wall surface, comprising:
a first region constructed for being attached to the shower wall; and a second region constructed for being located in an opening formed in the shower wall.
15 . The mold of claim 14 , wherein the first region is a flange and the second region is a body.
16 . The mold of claim 15 , wherein the second region is constructed with an inner surface that includes plural recesses.
17 . The mold of claim 16 , wherein the body is formed with a floor and walls, and wherein the plural recesses are formed as squared-shaped recesses in the floor and rectangular-shaped recesses in the walls.
18 . The mold of claim 17 , wherein the rectangular-shaped recesses are formed to extend across the walls and into the floor.
19 . The mold of claim 14 , further including a fastening region for fastening to the shower wall.
20 . A process of forming a desired wall surface, comprising:
forming an opening in a preliminary wall; fastening shape structure within the opening; and finishing the shape structure and preliminary wall to achieve the desired wall surface.
21 . The process of claim 20 , wherein the fastening step includes the substeps of locating the shape structure within the opening, and attaching a region of the shape structure to the preliminary wall.
22 . The process of claim 20 , wherein the forming step involves using a preliminary wall of an interior building.
23 . The process of claim 20 , wherein the forming step is done by cutting an opening in the preliminary wall.
24 . The process of claim 20 , wherein the fastening step includes the substep of choosing shape structure ultimately to form a recess in the desired wall surface.
25 . The process of claim 20 , wherein the fastening step includes the substep of choosing shape structure ultimately to form a protrusion in the desired wall surface.
26 . A process of forming a desired wall surface, comprising:
forming an opening in a preliminary wall that has an interior surface; selecting a mold with a first and second region and a first surface; locating the first region adjacent the opening; fastening the first region of mold to the wall; and finishing the surface of the mold and the surface of the preliminary wall.
27 . The process of claim 26 , further comprising the step of sealing the first region of the mold relative to the wall.
28 . The process of claim 26 wherein the forming step is done by cutting an opening in the preliminary wall.
29 . The process of claim 26 wherein the selecting step includes the substep of choosing a mold ultimately to form a recess in the desired wall surface.
30 . The process of claim 29 wherein the selecting step includes the substep of orienting the mold relative to the opening mold ultimately to form a recess in the desired wall surface.
31 . The process of claim 26 wherein the selecting step includes the substep of choosing a mold ultimately to form a protrusion in the desired wall surface.
32 . The process of claim 31 wherein the selecting step includes the substep of orienting the mold relative to the opening mold ultimately to form a protrusion in the desired wall surface.
