Abstract

Novel embodiments of hairbands are provided. The design of the hairbands allows them to be versatile so that they can be worn in a variety of ways such as bandana-style or scarf style; embellished or plain and scrunched or flat.

1 . A novel hairband, such hairband including 
 (a) a substantially cylindrical piece of material    (b) the cylindrical piece of material including at least one twist    whereby the cylindrical piece of material includes a portion that has a significantly reduced width.    
   
   
       2 . A novel hairband, such hairband including 
 (a) a rectangular piece of material    (b) said rectangular piece of material including at least one opening    (c) one end of said rectangular piece of material woven through said opening    (d) said one end of rectangular piece attached to the second end of said rectangular piece whereby said rectangular piece of material forms the shape of a figure-8.    
   
   
       3 . A novel substantially circular hairband, such hairband including 
 (a) a scrunched portion    (b) a flat portion    whereby said circular hairband can be worn over a bundle of hair with the scrunched portion hidden from view by the flat portion providing a stylish new ponytail accessory.
