Time right Rx dispenser

Abstract

This invention describes the design of a prescription dispenser that will hold medicines in a variety of forms, and will electronically dispense them at the time of day they are to be taken. The machine will have holders to be manually filled with medicines. The electronic interface will accommodate a variety of paraphernalia such as a telephone, a vibrator, and a flashing light. In addition, the electronic interface of the device will enable at least four different time dispenses within a twenty-four hour period of time. The dispenser design will enable an over ride for manual dispensing of medication.

1 . I claim that this invention will enable aging and elderly persons or any individual to consistently and timely take their prescriptions.  
   
   
       2 . I claim that this invention is capable of dispensing both solid and liquid medications.  
   
   
       3 . I claim that this device is amendable to manual loading of the desired medicines.  
   
   
       4 . I claim that a digital clock associated with the device will enable the device to be set for different times of the day to dispense medicine.  
   
   
       5 . I claim that the design of this device will enable the detection of the need to refill the dispenser.  
   
   
       6 . I claim that the dispenser will operate on batteries or electric power and the latter mode of operation will have a battery back up system.  
   
   
       7 . I claim that the dispenser will be designed to interface with an assortment of various electronics including but not limited to a telephone, a vibrator, a flashing light, computer, and/or an alarm to alert time to take medication.  
   
   
       8 . I claim that the dispenser will be designed to enable a manual override.
