Network facsimile apparatus

Abstract

A communication apparatus is connected to a terminal apparatus via a network and includes a memory that stores TIFF files, a generator that generates a list HTML file for a list page indicating a first list of TIFF files stored in the memory and a server that transmits the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus. The server transmits, to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files of the first list, a move HTML file for a move page on which the user can choose a second list of TIFF files stored in the memory so that the move page is displayed at the terminal apparatus. The server receives, from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user chooses the second list on the move page, a request for deleting the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and for adding the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list. A mover deletes the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and adds the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.

1 . A communication apparatus connected to a terminal apparatus via a network, the communication apparatus comprising: 
 a memory configured to store TIFF files;    a generator configured to generate a list HTML file for a list page indicating a first list of TIFF files stored in the memory;    a server configured to transmit the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus, to transmit, to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files of the first list, a move HTML file for a move page on which the user can choose a second list of TIFF files stored in the memory so that the move page is displayed at the terminal apparatus, and to receive from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user chooses the second list on the move page, a request for deleting the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and adding the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list; and    a mover configured to delete the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and to add the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.    
   
   
       2 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the first list of the TIFF files includes a document name of each of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       3 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the first list of the TIFF files includes a time and date on which each of the TIFF files was stored in the memory.  
   
   
       4 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the list page includes a checkbox for each of the TIFF files on the first list and a move actuator; and the user at the terminal apparatus checks the checkbox for one of the TIFF files and actuates the move actuator when the user selects the one of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       5 . A communication apparatus connected to a terminal apparatus via a network, the communication apparatus comprising: 
 a memory configured to store TIFF files;    a generator configured to generate a list HTML file for a list page indicating a list of TIFF files stored in the memory;    a server configured to transmit the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus, to transmit to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files of the list, an edit HTML file for an edit page on which the user can edit a document name of the selected one of the TIFF files so that the edit page is displayed at the terminal apparatus, and to receive from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user edits the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files, a request for changing the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files; and    a changer that changes the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files, when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.    
   
   
       6 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the list of the TIFF files includes a document name of each of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       7 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the list of the TIFF files includes a time and date on which each of the TIFF files is stored in the memory.  
   
   
       8 . The communication apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the edit page includes a text field for the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files; and the user at the terminal apparatus edits the document name in the text field.  
   
   
       9 . A communication method utilizing a communication apparatus connected to a terminal apparatus via a network including a server, the communication method comprising: 
 storing TIFF files in a memory of the communication apparatus;    generating a list HTML file for a list page indicating a first list of TIFF files stored in the memory;    transmitting the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus;    transmitting to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files on the first list, a move HTML file for a move page on which the user can choose a second list of TIFF files stored in the memory so that the move page is displayed at the terminal apparatus;    receiving, from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user chooses the second list on the move page, a request for deleting the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and adding the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list; and    deleting the selected one of the TIFF files from the first list and adding the selected one of the TIFF files to the second list when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.    
   
   
       10 . The communication method according to  claim 9 , wherein the first list of the TIFF files includes a document name of each of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       11 . The communication method according to  claim 9 , wherein the first list of the TIFF files indicates a time and date on which each of the TIFF files was stored in the memory.  
   
   
       12 . The communication method according to  claim 9 , wherein the list page includes a checkbox for each of the TIFF files on the first list and a move actuator, and the user at the terminal apparatus checks the checkbox for one of the TIFF files and actuates the move actuator when the user selects the one of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       13 . A communication method utilizing a communication apparatus connected to a terminal apparatus via a network including a server, the method comprising: 
 storing TIFF files in a memory of the communication apparatus;    generating a list HTML file for a list page indicating a list of TIFF files stored in the memory;    transmitting the list HTML file generated by the generator to the terminal apparatus via the network so that the list page is displayed at the terminal apparatus;    transmitting to the terminal apparatus via the network, when a user at the terminal apparatus selects, on the list page, one of the TIFF files on the list, an edit HTML file for an edit page on which the user can edit a document name of the selected one of the TIFF files, so that the edit page is displayed at the terminal apparatus;    receiving from the terminal apparatus via the network, when the user edits the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files, a request for changing the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files; and    changing the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files when the server receives the request from the terminal apparatus.    
   
   
       14 . The communication method according to  claim 13 , wherein the list of the TIFF files includes a document name of each of the TIFF files.  
   
   
       15 . The communication method according to  claim 13 , wherein the list of the TIFF files indicates a time and date on which each of the TIFF files was stored in the memory.  
   
   
       16 . The communication method according to  claim 13 , wherein the edit page includes a text field for the document name of the selected one of the TIFF files; and the user at the terminal apparatus edits the document name in the text field.
