Abstract

A configurable closet organizer that includes a plurality of surfaces that can be configured to have storage features according to a user's needs.

1 . A closet organizer comprising: 
 a body comprising:    a top;    a bottom;    a first side panel coupling the top to the bottom;    a second side panel, opposite the first side panel, coupling the top to the bottom;    a back panel coupling the top to the bottom and coupling the first and second side panel along an edge thereof; and    a hanging mechanism located at the top of the body that can be coupled to a closet rod wherein the hanging mechanism includes a rotating joint that allows the body to rotate 360 degrees.    
   
   
       2 . The organizer according to  claim 1  wherein the top, bottom, first and second side panels and back panels are made of a natural material, a synthetic material or a blend of natural and synthetic materials.  
   
   
       3 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising a cross panel coupled to the first and second side panels and back panels that is substantially parallel with the top and bottom wherein the cross panel creates a sectioned area.  
   
   
       4 . The organizer according to  claim 3  further comprising a drawer that fits in one of the sectioned area.  
   
   
       5 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising belt loops coupled to an upper exterior region of the first side panel.  
   
   
       6 . The organizer according to  claim 5  wherein the belt loops have hook and loop fasteners or snap fasteners.  
   
   
       7 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising a pouch formed on an exterior surface of the back panel.  
   
   
       8 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising a plurality of pouches formed on an exterior surface of the back panel.  
   
   
       9 . The organizer according to  claim 8  wherein the pouches are made of a clear material.  
   
   
       10 . The organizer according to  claim 8  wherein the pouches are made of an opaque material.  
   
   
       11 . The organizer according to  claim 8  wherein the plurality of pouches close at a top portion by a fastening mechanism.  
   
   
       12 . The organizer according to  claim 11  wherein the fastening mechanism is a zipper.  
   
   
       13 . The organizer according to  claim 11  wherein the fastening mechanism is a hook and loop strips.  
   
   
       14 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising shoe pockets on an exterior surface of the back panel.  
   
   
       15 . The organizer according to  claim 14  further comprising shoe pockets located on an exterior surface of the first side panel.  
   
   
       16 . The organizer according to  claim 15  further comprising shoe pockets located on an exterior surface of the second side panel.  
   
   
       17 . The organizer according to  claim 1  further comprising a third side panel coupling the top the bottom and coupling the first and second side panels along a second edge thereof opposite to the edge coupled by the back panel.  
   
   
       18 . The organizer according to  claim 17  further comprising shoe pockets formed on an exterior surface of the first, second, third side panels and back panels.  
   
   
       19 . The organizer according to  claim 1  for the comprising a hanger rack coupled to an interior surface of the top of the body.  
   
   
       20 . The organizer according to  claim 3  for the comprising a rotating tie tree coupled to back of an interior surface of the top of the body wherein the tie tree can be guided along the track so that it is not at least partially removed from an interior of the body.  
   
   
       21 . The organizer according to  claim 3  further comprising an article rack coupled to a track on an interior surface of the top of the body wherein the article rack can be guided along the track so that it is at least partially removed from an interior of the body.  
   
   
       22 . The organizer according to  claim 8  wherein at least one of the plurality of pouches is removably coupled to the exterior surface of the back panel.  
   
   
       23 . The organizer according to  claim 22  wherein the pouch has a plurality of storage compartments.  
   
   
       24 . A closet organizer comprising: 
 a body comprising:    a top;    a bottom;    a first side panel coupling the top to the bottom;    a second side panel, opposite the first side panel, coupling the top to the bottom;    a back panel coupling the top to the bottom and coupling the first and second side panel along an edge thereof; and    means located at the top of the body for coupling the body to a closet rod and allowing the body to rotate 360 degrees.    
   
   
       25 . A closet organizer comprising: 
 a body comprising:    a top;    a first side panel coupled to the top;    a second side panel, opposite the first side panel, coupled to the top;    a back panel coupled to the top and coupling the first and second side panel along an edge thereof; and    a hanging mechanism located at the top of the body that can be coupled to a closet rod wherein the hanging mechanism includes a rotating joint that allows the body to rotate 360 degrees.    
   
   
       26 . The organizer according to  claim 25  wherein the top, first and second side panels and back panels are made of a natural material, a synthetic material or a blend of natural and synthetic materials.

 a body comprising:    a top;    a first side panel coupled to the top;    a second side panel, opposite the first side panel, coupled to the top;    a back panel coupled to the top and coupling the first and second side panel along an edge thereof;    a hanging mechanism located at the top of the body that can be coupled to a closet rod and allowing the body to rotate 360 degrees; and    a compartment located on the back panel.    
   
   
       49 . The organizer according to  claim 48  wherein the top, first and second side panels and back panels are made of a natural material, a synthetic material or a blend of natural and synthetic materials.
