Balloon baby apparatus and method therefor

Abstract

The present invention relates to a balloon figure resembling a baby and a method for making the same. A kit for creating a balloon baby, comprises instructions for constructing the balloon baby, a plurality of long slender balloons, at least two of which to be at least partially inflated, a round balloon to be at least partially inflated and attached to one of the partially inflated long slender balloons, and a hollow container having a top end and a bottom end, where the top end will receive an upper body portion for attachment and the bottom end will receive the lower body portion for attachment.

1 . A method for making a balloon baby, comprising the steps of: 
 providing a plurality of balloons, including at least two long slender balloons and one round balloon;    providing a hollow container having a top end and bottom end;    at least partially inflating first and second long slender balloons and the round balloon;    twisting the first balloon to form two balloon segments and a constriction area, attaching the round balloon adjacent to the constriction area to form an upper body portion;    twisting the second balloon to form two balloon segments and a constriction area to form a lower body portion; and    attaching the upper body portion and lower body portion to the container, whereby a balloon baby shape is formed.    
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising the steps of: 
 providing at least two apertures in each of the top end and bottom end of the container; and    attaching the upper body portion and lower body portion to the container.    
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising the steps of: 
 providing at least two apertures in each of the top end and bottom end of the container; and    tying a deflated long slender balloon to the upper body portion and a deflated long slender balloon to the lower body portion, the deflated long slender balloons tied so as to provide about equal portions of each end of each deflated long slender balloons; and    attaching the upper body portion and lower body portion to the container by disposing each end of each deflated long slender balloon through the apertures and tying the ends of each balloon together.    
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising the steps of: 
 at least partially inflating third and fourth long slender balloons; and    disposing the third and fourth balloons on the hollow container to add girth to the balloon baby.    
   
   
       5 . A balloon baby, comprising: 
 an upper body portion formed from a first long slender balloon being at least partially inflated, said balloon twisted to form two balloon segments and a constriction area, a round balloon being at least partially inflated and attached to said constriction area of said first balloon;    a lower body portion formed from a second long slender balloon being at least partially inflated, said second balloon twisted to form two balloon segments and a constriction area; and    a hollow container having a top end and a bottom end, said upper body portion being attached to said top end adjacent to the constriction area and said lower body portion being attached to said bottom end adjacent to the constriction area.    
   
   
       6 . The balloon baby of  claim 5 , wherein said container includes at least two apertures disposed in each of the top end and bottom end, whereby said upper body portion and said lower body portion are attached to said container.  
   
   
       7 . The balloon baby of  claim 6 , further comprising a deflated long slender balloon tied to said upper body portion adjacent to said constriction area and a deflated long slender balloon tied to the lower body portion adjacent to said constriction area, said deflated long slender balloons tied so as to provide about equal portions of each end of said deflated long slender balloons, whereby said upper body portion and lower body portion are attached to said container by disposing each end of each said deflated long slender balloon through an aperture and tying the ends of said deflated long slender balloons for each upper body portion and lower body portion together.  
   
   
       8 . The balloon baby of  claim 5 , further comprising at least a third and fourth partially inflated long slender balloons disposed adjacent to said hollow container to add girth to said balloon baby.  
   
   
       9 . The balloon baby of  claim 5 , further comprising accessories selected from the group consisting of shoes, slippers, socks, mittens, a pacifier, sunglasses, and a robe.  
   
   
       10 . The balloon baby of  claim 5 , wherein said hollow container is cardboard box.  
   
   
       11 . A kit for creating a balloon baby, comprising: 
 instructions for constructing the balloon baby;    a plurality of long slender balloons, at least two of which to be at least partially inflated;    a round balloon to be at least partially inflated and attached to one of said partially inflated long slender balloons; and    a hollow container having a top end and a bottom end, where said top end will receive an upper body portion for attachment and said bottom end will receive said lower body portion for attachment.
