Abstract

The present invention is directed to pharmaceutical compositions containing active compounds, which inhibit the activity of the chemokines, MIP-1α and RANTES. It also is directed to methods of treating inflammatory and immunoregulatory disorders and diseases using these pharmaceutical compositions.

       8 . A method of inhibiting the binding of a chemokine, which is MIP-1α or RANTES, to a CCR1 receptor, comprising contacting the composition of  claim 10  with a cell that expresses the CCR1 receptor for a time sufficient to inhibit the binding of the chemokine to the CCR1 receptor.  
   
   
       9 . A method of treating an inflammatory disease, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of the composition of  claim 10  to a patient in need thereof for a time sufficient to treat the inflammatory disease.
