Flexible compartment system
Abstract
A flexible compartment system including tensionable or suspendable flexible webs ( 1, 1′, 1″, 1′″ ) which can be tensioned between or suspended from frame elements, wherein intermediate portions ( 2, 2′, 2″, 2′″, 2′″″ ), which also comprise flexible web material, are connected to the tensionable or suspendable webs ( 1, 1′, 1″, 1′″ ) in such a way as to afford a partitioning arrangement with a plurality of compartments ( 3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3′″″ ), wherein a compartment system has a number of compartments ( 3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3′″″ ) composed of a plurality of assembled together base elements ( 4, 4′, 4″, 4′″, 21, 21′, 21″, 21′″ ) each of which has a respective portion of the total number of compartments.

10 . A flexible compartment system which comprises tensionable or suspendable flexible webs ( 1 , 1 ′, 1 ″, 1 ′″) which can be tensioned between or suspended from frame elements, wherein intermediate portions ( 2 , 2 ′, 2 ″, 2 ′″, 2 ′″″), which also comprise flexible web material, are connected to the tensionable or suspendable webs ( 1 , 1 ′, 1 ″, 1 ′″) in such a way as to afford a partitioning arrangement with a plurality of compartments ( 3 , 3 ′, 3 ″, 3 ′″, 3 ′″″), wherein a compartment system has a number of compartments ( 3 , 3 ′, 3 ″, 3 ′″, 3 ′″″) composed of a plurality of assembled together base elements ( 4 , 4 ′, 4 ″, 4 ′″, 21 , 21 ′, 21 ″, 21 ′″) each of which has a respective portion of the total number of compartments
11 . The flexible compartment system of claim 10 wherein the base elements ( 4 , 4 ′, 4 ″, 4 ′″, 4 ″″, 21 , 21 ′, 21 ″, 21 ′″, 21 ″″) are assembled together along the openings to the compartments.
12 . The flexible compartment system of claim 11 where the base are assembled together-by sewing, by means of a hook-and-loop fastener ( 13 ′, 13 ′″) or by means of a double-sided adhesive tape.
13 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 1 where the base elements ( 4 , 4 ′, 4 ″, 21 , 21 ′, 21 ″) are each made up of four respective compartments ( 3 , 3 ′, 3 ″).
14 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 10 wherein assembled base elements ( 4 , 4 ′, 4 ″, 4 ′″, 21 , 21 ′, 21 ″, 21 ′″) are identical.
15 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 1 wherein at least two base elements ( 4 ′, 4 ″, 4 ′″, 21 ′, 21 ″, 21 ′″) are arranged in mutually superposed relationship and a lowermost flexible web ( 16 ′, 16 ″, 16 ′″) of the respective upper base element is not fixed to the frame.
16 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 1 wherein base elements ( 4 ′″, 21 ′″) are assembled together along the fixing to the frame by sewing or by means of a hook-and-loop fastener.
17 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 1 wherein the flexible webs ( 1 , 1 ′, 1 ″, 1 ′″, 1 ″″, 1 ′″″) of the base elements ( 4 , 4 ′, 4 ″, 4 ′″, 4 ′″″, 21 , 21 ′, 21 ″, 21 ′″) are sewn at the sides to form loops ( 18 , 18 ′, 18 ″, 18 ′″, 18 ″″, 18 ′″″), through which are passed tensioning rods ( 6 , 6 ′, 6 ″) for fixing to the frame.
18 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 17 wherein two mutually superposed base elements ( 4 ″, 21 ″) each have only one respective loop half ( 7 ″, 8 ″) which are sewn so that they form a full loop.
19 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 17 wherein complete loops ( 18 , 18 ′, 18 ″, 18 ′″, 18 ″″, 18 ′″″) of two mutually superposed base elements ( 4 ″, 21 ″) are sewn together so that they form a full loop.
20 . A flexible compartment system as set forth in claim 1 wherein respective lowermost ( 16 ′″″) and uppermost webs of a compartment system are provided with eyes ( 11 ′″″) through which are passed tensioning rods ( 6 ′″″) for fixing to the frame ( 12 ′″″).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
