Abstract

The harness resistance for sport, rehabilitation and functional training is a special harness designed to safely secure a resistance to a ball or onto the body. The harness resistance devise can be used to fit any ball or part of the body because it is adjustable. The harness resistance allows the user to then add resistance to the ball but also to his body depending on his needs or his training regiment. The harness resistance allows a great range of motion and thanks to it the resistance can be use in different directions. The user can then work every muscles group of his body. The harness resistance can be use with any kind of resistance such as weights, springs, resistance band, etc. The harness resistance can also be used indoor, outdoor, on water and under water; anywhere the user can attached it to a resistance he can use it. The harness resistance can also be use as a ball holder; he can also be used as a moving target for different type of training. Thanks to its wide range of motion, the user can be in motion while lifting weights, allowing him to learn coordination with the ball. The harness resistance allows functional training at another level and probably at its best.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . The harness resistance ( FIG. 1 ) is made out of a “D” ring ( FIG. 2 # 3 ), a “Slider” ( FIG. 2 # 5 ), a “Triangle” ring ( FIG. 2 # 4 ), “Two Nylon Bands”, “Two Velcros”, and “Two polypropylene pieces shaped in a Y” The harness resistance is made out of “Two nylon bands”. The first nylon band is twice the length of the second and it first looped around the “D” ring to half its length and then sewn to itself to secure the “D” ring. There are two angles between the extremity of the first nylon band after it sewn to the “D” ring, one of 120 degrees and the other of 240. The second band is sewn to center of the “Slider” at its first extremity, then its second extremity is looped to a “Triangle” ring before it goes back in and out of the “Slider” to finally split the 240 degrees angle in half coming from under, and loops around the “D” ring, and is sewn to the other band and itself. Claim 1 is an independent claim.

2 . The harness resistance has a “D” ring to which the resistance is attached to. Other types of rings that can be used such as a “Triangle” ring, a “Circle” ring or another small peace of nylon to help the resistance being attached to it. Claim 2 is dependant on claim 1 .

3 . The harness resistance has a “Triangle” ring ( FIG. 2 # 4 ) on one of his extremity, preferably on the same band sewn to the slider. It a “1 inch” triangle ring with three 60 degrees angles on the inside or simply a triangle with all side of same length so the three extremities of the harness resistance can be align in a 120 degrees angle between each other. Claim 3 is dependant on claim 1 .

4 . The harness resistance has a “slider” ( FIG. 2 # 5 ) sewn to the same band as the “Triangle” ( FIG. 2 # 4 ) ring so the length of the band can be adjustable so it can fit any kind of ball or the body part around which it is attached to. Claim 4 is dependant on claim 1 .

5 . The harness resistance has “Two polypropylene pieces” shaped in a “Y” ( FIG. 2 # 6 ) that covers the bottom and the top of the “D” ring ( FIG. 2 # 3 ) and then sewn to each other to reinforce the structure of the harness resistance attachment. The top piece of polypropylene has a “1 inch” gap to let the “D” ring out so it can be hooked to the resistance being used. Claim 5 is dependant to claim 1 .

6 . The harness resistance has “Two velcro straps” sewn to its two other extremities. So they can be attached to the “Triangle” ring and secure the harness resistance around the ball. Velcro straps are used because they make easy on the user to attached, to adjust and to hold the harness resistance around the ball or the body part it is attached to. Other attachment such as snap or buttons can also be used. Claim 6 is dependant to claim 1 .

7 . The harness resistance can be worn on the body ( FIG.14 ) The harness resistance thanks to its slider and Velcro straps can be adjustable enough so the user can put his hand or his feet between the ball and the harness resistance. The user will be able to put his entire hand on the ball or his feet. ( FIG. 7, 8 , 10 ) The harness resistance once on a ball, it can be hold onto with both hands, one hand, both feet, one foot, between both arms, between one arm and the user chest, between both legs, thighs, knees, ankles. The user can use any of those different ways to pull or push the resistance. ( FIG. 7, 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 ) The harness resistance can be attached on a medicine ball, a soccer ball, a basketball, a football, a rugby ball, a utility ball, a water polo ball, etc. ( FIG. 1 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ) The harness resistance can be used indoor, outdoor, on water and under water. Wherever the user can attach it to a resistance, the harness resistance can be used. Claim 7 in an independent claim.

8 . The harness resistance can be attached to any kind of resistance such as resistance band, springs, dumbbells, weights plate, and cable from weights machine, a partner, etc. Claim 8 is dependant on claim 7 .

9 . The harness resistance can be used for any king of training regiment or program depending on the user needs. Claim 9 is dependant on claim 8 .

10 . The harness resistance can be use to improve athletic abilities with and without the use of a ball by been worn and used with a resistance. Claim 10 is dependant on claim 7 .

11 . The harness resistance can also be used as a ball holder. ( FIG.1 ) The harness resistance on a ball and then attached to a cord can be suspended in the air at different height so the user can work on striking, kicking, throwing, jumping, shoot blocking, rebounding, etc. Claim 11 is dependant on claim 7 .

12 . The harness resistance attachment is different than other weightlifting devices by the way it looks and feels, because the user actually uses the ball for the sport in which they play. ( FIG.1 )
The harness resistance can increase focus and interest on training. It makes the user feel like they are playing their sport while lifting weights at the same time. The harness resistance allows them to do specific movement used for their specific sport and therefore increase functionality and mobility with the ball. Claim 12 is Dependant on claim 7 .

13 . The harness resistance attachment gives a range of motion that other devices don't and it also opens the direction in where you want to lift the weights so they can learn and teach coordination to their body with or without the ball. Not only the weight can be pulled or lifted but the harness resistance attachment allows you to do it safely while not only using the muscle group required in lifting or pulling are in motion, but your whole body is in motion at the same time. Claim 13 is Dependant on claim 12 .

14 . The harness resistance can be used to train any muscles group in the body The harness resistance can be use for physical therapy and rehabilitation. The harness resistance look a lot less intimidating that a regular weight lifting device. And having to
