Roll over audio visual control center

Abstract

A roll over audio visual control center (“roll over platform”) designed to be embedded for use within the top of a conference table to display, in an inverted position, a power or communications outlet for use on top of the conference table or to hide, in a regular position, the power or communications outlet under the conference table when not in use. The roll over platform consists of two main parts: a housing and a control center. The housing is rectangular in shape and forms a hollow center. The control center approximates the rectangular shape of the housing and is secured within the hollow center of the housing by a hinge. The hinge enables the rotation of the control center within the hollow center of the housing. The roll over platform further consists of a means to secure the control center to the housing to enable the regular and inverted positions of the control center with respect to the housing.

       15 . A rollover control center assembly comprising: 
 a work surface;    a housing secured to the work surface; and    a control center rotatable within the housing between a use position and a rest position, wherein the control center is in substantial alignment with the work surface when the control center is rotated to the use position.    
   
   
       16 . The rollover assembly of  claim 15 , wherein the work surface is a table.  
   
   
       17 . The rollover assembly of  claim 15 , wherein the control center is flush with the work surface when the control center is rotated to the use position.  
   
   
       18 . The rollover control assembly of  claim 15 , wherein the use position exposes at least one of a power outlet, a communication outlet, a video screen, and an audio device.  
   
   
       19 . The rollover control assembly of  claim 16 , wherein the power outlet includes an electrical socket; the communication outlet includes at least one of a fiber optic port and a port adapted to communicate with a computer; and the audio device includes a microphone.  
   
   
       20 . A rollover control center assembly comprising: 
 a housing;    a control center rotatable within the housing between a use position and a rest position; and    at least one latch for latching the control center in each of the use position and the rest position.    
   
   
       21 . The rollover control assembly of  claim 20 , wherein the use position exposes 
 at least one of a power outlet, a communication outlet, a video screen, and an audio device.    
   
   
       22 . The rollover control center assembly of  claim 20 , further comprising a work surface, wherein the control center is in substantial alignment with the work surface when the control center is rotated to the use position.  
   
   
       23 . The rollover assembly of  claim 22 , wherein the work surface is a table.  
   
   
       24 . The rollover assembly of  claim 22 , wherein the control center is flush with the work surface when the control center is rotated to the use position.
