Physiologically active agents containing vicinal dithioglycols and use thereof in various branches of economy

Abstract

The invention relates to the food and medical industries, medical cosmetics, dermatology, agriculture and the mixed feed industry. According to the invention vicinal dithioglycole (common formula RCH(SH)CH(SH)R −1 (I)) is used as a food additive, a food product, physiologically-active substances and active ingredients of forage additives and of forage, in cosmetic and/or dermatological and skin-therapeutic remedies. The invention comprises methods for producing such additives, products and remedies. The substance of formula (I) stimulates physiological processes, increases human and animal immunity, inhibits undesirable process in organisms and food products, produces curative and preventive action of skin, hair and nails and after vicinal dithioglycole is administered the intoxication effect of alcohol consumption known as hang-over is completely remored.

       82 . A method for feeding animals and poultry comprising 
 (a) providing a preparation comprising vicinal dithioglycol of general chemical formula (1)                          where R, R 1  are selected independently from groups: (—H), or (COOH), or (—SO 3 H), or (—OH), or (—SO 3 H), or (—OH), or (—CH 2 —COOH), OR (—CH 2 —O—CH 2 —SO 3 H), or (—CH 2 —SO 3 H),    or salts of said vicinal dithioglycol comprising (—OH) or (—COOH), or (—SO 3 H); and    (b) administering the preparation to animals or poultry by peroral administration.    
   
   
       83 . A method according to  claim 82 , wherein the preparation comprises a carrier, or a filler, or a solvent in an amount of up to 99.9999 wt. % of a total weight of the preparation.  
   
   
       84 . A method according to  claim 82 , wherein the preparation is made in a form of a fed means, and at least one vicinal dithioglycol of general chemical formula (1) according to claim  1 , is at least one active ingredient of the said feed means.  
   
   
       85 . A method according to  claim 84 , wherein said feed means is a feed additive or a feed supplement, or a fed product.

       87 . A method according to  claim 86 , wherein the feed base comprises components selected from the groups consisting of: 
 products of animal or vegetable origin, and/or sea products, and/or extracts or wastes thereof;    vegetable and/or animal proteins and/or extracts thereof;    organic acids and/or derivatives thereof;    microbial metabolism, and/or products of biosynthesis, products of photosynthesis;    products of chemical synthesis and/or pharmaceutical products, and/or by-products or microbiological or food or pharmaceutical industries.    
   
   
       88 . A method according to  claim 86 , wherein the feed base is a liquid and/or a dry mixture capable to be diluted in a liquid.

The method according to  claim 84 , wherein the feed means further comprises vitamins and/or derivatives thereof, and/or enzymes, and/or amino acids and/or derivatives thereof, and/or hormones, and/or minerals and/or salts thereof, and/or organic acids and/or derivatives thereof, and/or antioxidants, and/or preservatives, and/or emulsifiers, and/or stabilizers, and/or microorganisms, and/or nutrients, and/or flavours, and/or fragrances, and/or colouring agents, and/or any other ingredients used in a feed production.  
   
   
       90 . A method for feeding animals or poultry, comprising introducing the preparation of  claim 82  into a ration for the animal or poultry.  
   
   
       91 . A method for feeding animals or poultry, comprising 
 (a) providing the vicinal dithioglycol of general chemical formula (I)                          where R, R 1  are selected independently from groups: (—H), or (COOH), or (—SO 3 H), or (—OH), or (—SO 3 H), or (—OH), or (—CH 2 —COOH), OR (—CH 2 —O—CH 2 —SO 3 H), or (—CH 2 —SO 3 H),    or salts of said vicinal dithioglycol comprising (—OH) or (—COOH), or (—SO 3 H); and    (b) using the vicinal dithioglycol of general chemical formula (I) as at least one active ingredient in the feed means, feed or feed additive, or supplement for animals and poultry to achieve at least one effect, selected from the group, consisting of:    strengthening the immunity,    providing physiologically irreversible binding carbonyl compounds present in feed products or formed in the organism;    stimulating essential physiological processes regarding glycolysis, metabolism of lipids and metal ions, and enzymatic processes    stimulating growth,    improving feathering condition of poultry,    improving the quality of fur of the furry animals,    preventing early senescence of the pet dogs and cats.    
   
   
       92 . A method according to  claim 91 , wherein the feed means is made in a medicinal form, particularly medicinal and prophylactic means.  
   
   
       93 . A method according to  claim 92 , wherein said medicine further comprises at least one substance being a source of ions of a metal and/or metals.  
   
   
       94 . A method according to  claim 93 , wherein said metal is a bivalent metal.  
   
   
       95 . A method according to  claim 82 , wherein said preparation is produced by mixing at least one active ingredient with a carrier, and/or a filler and/or a solvent, wherein at least one active ingredient is vicinal dithioglycol of general formula (1).  
   
   
       96 . A method of  claim 95 , wherein a carrier and/or a filler, and/or a solvent is/are further subjected to a chemical and/or a mechanical treatment.  
   
   
       97 . A method according to  claim 95 , wherein vicinal dithioglycol is added to the carrier or to the filler by soaking, and/or by dispersing a solution comprising vicinal dithioglycol, and/or by spraying dry vicinal dithioglycol or a dry mixture comprising thereof, on a carrier or on a filler or its components.  
   
   
       98 . A method according to  claim 95 , wherein the preparation is further subjected to aggregation, and/or granulation, and/or tabletting, and/or cooling, and/or heating, and/or pasteurization, and/or sterilization, and/or conservation.
