Abstract

A filter ( 1 ) with several rotating filter discs ( 3 ) mounted on a shaft ( 2 ) and which are provided with a porous filter medium. In one aspect it is characterised by elastomer elements ( 8, 8 ′) being mounted on the shaft ( 2 ) as spacers between the individual filter discs ( 3 ). In another aspect, the invention refers to a filter disc ( 3 ) for a filter ( 1 ) of this kind, wherein the disc ( 3 ) has a rigid support body with distinct drainage channels ( 21 ) leading to a central opening for receiving the shaft ( 2 ) and an attached surrounding filter medium or membrane ( 23 ).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 14 . (canceled)

15 . Filter disc for a filter having a plurality of filter discs frictionally mounted on a rotatable shaft by spaced apart elastomer elements, comprising a rigid, disc-like supporting body having axially spaced faces and a central opening for receiving the shaft, said supporting body consisting essentially of a rigid, porous material defining a frame that supports a surrounding filter medium, and a plurality of distinct drainage channels formed in the frame and leading to the central opening, wherein the drainage channels are in an axially central region of the frame between the opposed faces, and extend inwardly from adjacent the circumference of the disc.

16 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein the supporting body is made of perforated plate, sintered metal, ceramic, or porous synthetic material.

17 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein the filter medium is a foil membrane of ceramic or polymer material.

18 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein the filter medium is a wire, made by weaving synthetic or metal wires, or a screen, made by drilling holes in a plastic foil or a metal plate.

19 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein the filter medium is welded or glued to the supporting body.

20 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein a beaded edge is provided at the circumferentially outer edge of the filter disc.

21 . Filter disc according to claim 15 , wherein the supporting body is a casting in which drainage channels are created by a core inserted in the casting and which is eroded entirely by heat without leaving any residue behind.

22 . Filter disc according to claim 16 , wherein the filter medium is a foil membrane of ceramic or polymer material.

23 . Filter disc according to claim 16 , wherein a beaded edge is provided at the circumferentially outer edge of the filter disc.

24 . Filter disc according to claim 16 , wherein the supporting body is a casting in which drainage channels are created by a core inserted in the casting and which is eroded entirely by heat without leaving any residue behind.

25 . Filter disc according to claim 22 , wherein the supporting body is a casting in which drainage channels are created by a core inserted in the casting and which is eroded entirely by heat without leaving any residue behind.

26 . Filter disc according to claim 23 , wherein the supporting body is a casting in which drainage channels are created by a core inserted in the casting and which is eroded entirely by heat without leaving any residue behind.
