Baseball batting training appliance

Abstract

An appliance for training baseball players in executing the proper swing of the baseball bat, comprising a wrist cuff adapted for attachment to the wrist of the forward arm of the player, a waist belt and a strap interconnecting the wrist cuff and the waist belt to limit separation between the body and forward forearm of the player during a swing of the baseball bat.

1 . An appliance for attachment to a waist and wrist of a forward arm of a person's body for training proper execution in swinging of a baseball bat, comprising 
 a circular waist belt,    a wrist cuff adapted for attachment to the wrist of the forward arm,    flexible strap means interconnecting the wrist cuff and the waist belt, wherein the length of the flexible strap means is adapted to limit separation between the ventral side of the person's body and forward arm of the person and prevent movement of the wrist of the forward arm superior of the shoulders of the person's body during a swing of the baseball bat.    
   
   
       2 . The appliance of  claim 1  wherein the flexible strap means is connected to the circular waist belt at a point on the ventral side of the person's body.  
   
   
       3 . A method for training a person in proper execution in swinging of a baseball bat comprising 
 providing an appliance for attachment to a waist and wrist of a forward arm of a person's body including: 
 a circular waist belt adapted for attachment to the waist,  
 a wrist cuff adapted for attachment to the wrist of the forward arm,  
 a flexible strap means interconnecting the wrist cuff and circular waist belt, wherein the flexible strap means is connected to the circular waist belt at a point on the ventral side of the person's body;  
   attaching the circular waist belt to the waist,    attaching the wrist cuff to the wrist of the forward arm,    adjusting the length of the flexible strap means of said appliance so as to restrict the distance between the forward arm and ventral side of the person's body.
