Abstract
A grinder for grinding a material. The grinder may include a number of first rollers for grinding the material to a grind of substantially a first predetermined particle size and a number of adjustable second rollers for grinding a portion of the grind of the first predetermined particle size to a grind of substantially a second predetermined particle size.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A grinder for grinding a material, comprising:
a plurality of first rollers for grinding the material to a grind of substantially a first predetermined particle size; and a plurality of adjustable second rollers for grinding a portion of the grind of the first predetermined particle size to a grind of substantially a second predetermined particle size.
2 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the grinder comprises a roller grinder.
3 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first rollers comprises a pair of crusher rollers.
4 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first rollers comprises a pair of finish rollers.
5 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the first predetermined particle size comprises about 200 to about 300 microns.
6 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a pair of fines rollers.
7 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a length less than the plurality of first rollers.
8 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a length of about half of the plurality of first rollers.
9 . The grinder of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises an engagement with the plurality of first rollers of zero to about one hundred percent.
10 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the second predetermined particle size comprises at least about forty microns.
11 . The grinder of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a fixed roller and an adjustable roller.
12 . The grinder of claim 1 , further comprising a densifier.
13 . A coffee grinder for grinding coffee beans, comprising:
a plurality of crusher rollers to provide coffee grinds; a plurality of finishing rollers to finish the coffee grinds to substantially a first predetermined particle size; and a plurality of adjustable fines rollers for grinding a portion of the coffee grinds to substantially a second predetermined particle size.
14 . The grinder of claim 13 , wherein the grinder comprises a roller grinder.
15 . The grinder of claim 13 , wherein the first predetermined particle size comprises about 200 to about 300 microns.
16 . The grinder of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a length less than the plurality of first rollers.
17 . The grinder of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises a length of about half of the plurality of first rollers.
18 . The grinder of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of adjustable second rollers comprises an engagement with the plurality of first rollers of zero to about one hundred percent.
19 . The grinder of claim 13 , wherein the second predetermined particle size comprises at least about forty microns.
20 . A method of grinding coffee beans, comprising:
grinding a first plurality of beans in a first plurality of rollers to a particle size of substantially about 250 microns; grinding a second plurality of beans in a second plurality of rollers to a particle size of substantially about 40 microns; and combining the first plurality of beans and the second plurality of beans.
21 . The method of claim 20 , wherein the particle size of substantially about 250 microns comprises about 250 microns plus or minus about 20 microns.
22 . The method of claim 20 , wherein the particle size of substantially about 40 microns comprises about 40 microns plus or minus about 10 microns.
23 . The method of claim 20 , wherein the second plurality of beans comprises a portion on the first plurality of beans.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
