Abstract

The waterproof/breathable moisture transfer liner for a snowboard boot includes an inner liner selected from technically advanced fabrics which are carefully selected. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, breathable membranes, a supportive mesh or a moldable foam, and an outer shell fabric. The applicability of the liner to alpine, cross country and hiking boots, along with appropriate variations for each application.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A moisture transfer composite comprising a non-woven material that absorbs and transfers moisture therethrough, the non-woven material containing hollow fibers and having reversible enhanced thermal properties.

2 . A composite including the moisture transferring non-woven material according to claim 1 , further comprising a foam material positioned adjacent to the moisture transferring non-woven material.

3 . The composite according to claim 2 , wherein the foam material is an open cell, breathable foam.

4 . A composite including the moisture transferring non-woven material according to claim 1 , further comprising an inner moisture transfer material positioned adjacent to the moisture transferring non-woven material.

5 . The composite according to claim 4 , further comprising a foam material positioned on a side of the moisture transferring non-woven that is opposite to a side at which the inner moisture transfer material is positioned.

6 . The composite according to claim 5 , wherein the foam material is a breathable, open cell foam.

7 . The composite according to claim 6 , wherein the foam material has reversible enhanced thermal properties.

8 . A moisture transferring non-woven material comprising randomly laid fibers and having reversible enhanced thermal properties the moisture transferring material absorbing and transferring moisture therethrough.

9 . The non-woven material according to claim 8 , wherein the fibers are hollow.

10 . The non-woven material according to claim 8 , wherein the fibers are laid in random layers with a binder.

11 . The non-woven material according to claim 10 , wherein the layers of fibers are attached to one another by being needle punched therethrough.

12 . A moisture-transferring material comprising fibers laid in random layers with a binder and having reversible enhanced thermal properties, the material absorbing and transferring moisture therethrough.
