Trash can stretchy

Abstract

The Stretchy is a circular-shaped form made by either stitching the opposite ends together to make a circular cohesive single piece with a hole naturally formed as a result on the inside where the waste fits neatly through or a singular piece of material or fabric able to be stretched over the lip or rim of the wastebasket opening. Elastic material is inserted around the top and bottom edges of the stitched-together fabric to allow the entire formation to mold itself around the top of the trash can of varying sizes. Lace and other trinkets can adorn the invention accordingly.

1 . A wastebasket cover comprising material of sufficient size to cover the opening of the wastebasket while able to clasp or grip around the upper rim or lip of said wastebasket.  
   
   
       2 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein said cover is pliable fabric or material and has an elastic or stretchable material to fit a variety of receptacle sizes and simultaneously hold the garbage bag (i.e. a plastic garbage bag) firmly in place.  
   
   
       3 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein said material is composed of a rigid, pre-formed material such as plastic.  
   
   
       4 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein said cover is one contiguous, circular or ovular piece with a hole in the center.  
   
   
       5 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the said cover is a removable, open-top, washable decorative cover.  
   
   
       6 . The cover of  claim 1 , wherein the fabric is of substantially pliable material of sufficient size to cover the opening of a waste basket but only extends longitudinally to the upper portion of the wastebasket.  
   
   
       7 . A method of covering a waste basket, comprising: 
 a. Providing for elastically or stretchably affixing said material or fabric to the outside upper portion of the wastebasket,    b. The method of  claim 7 , whereby said material is composed of pliable cloth-like fabric,    c. The method of  claim 7 , wherein said material is colored.    
   
   
       8 . A wastebasket cover made of fabric or other pliable material with a hole in its center which allows for the easy inflow of refuse and which covers the mouth or opening of a wastebasket or trash receptacle, the improvement comprising an elastically and stretchable material able to clasp around the upper portion and outer rim of the waste receptacle and encircles the outer surface of the receptacle body and being slidably removable from the receptacle body upon detachment.  
   
   
       9 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the cover is made of fabric or other pliable material having a hole in its center with stretchable or elastic fabric or material along its bottom rim portion which allows for snug temporary affixation or adherence around the top portion of a wastebasket or trash receptacle (allowing for passage of typical waste matter such as crumpled paper, etc.) which protects upper covered portion of basket from wear and dirt yet is also decorative and removable for cleaning.  
   
   
       10 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the fabric or other pliable material that is placed over the upper portion of a waste basket or trash receptacle by elastic or stretchable means that can be custom-made to fit varying size receptacles that is made from any pliable fabric and can be removed for cleaning, change in decor, taste changes, etc.  
   
   
       11 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the cover is made of a stretchable or flexible fabric or material cover apparatus and elastic means for snugly wrapping around outer portion or upper rim of a waste receptacle and not extending past halfway down the wastebasket.  
   
   
       12 . The cover of  claim 8 , wherein the cover is able to substantially hold any garbage bag inside the wastebasket firmly in place.
