Abstract
A portable swimming pool includes a base having a perimeter; a side wall erected upright, wherein the side wall includes a top and a bottom, and the side wall coupled to the perimeter of the base; and a plurality of portholes layered between a outer wall of the side wall and an inner wall of the side wall, wherein the porthole is transparent, and both the outer wall of the side wall and the inner wall of the side wall are opaque, and wherein the sidewall is collapsible for enabling portability of the swimming pool.

In a collapsible container for containing a liquid, the collapsible container comprising (i) a base having a perimeter, (ii) a side wall along the perimeter of the base, the side wall having a top and a bottom, the improvement comprising a porthole positioned within the side wall enabling viewing therethrough and into an interior of the container.
2 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , wherein the side wall includes an inner side and a outer side, wherein the porthole is positioned between the inner side and the outer side.
3 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , wherein the porthole is flush with the side wall.
4 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , further comprising a shape retaining member located at the top of the side wall for maintaining the shape of the container.
5 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 4 , wherein the shape retaining member is an inflatable ring.
6 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 4 , wherein the shape retaining member has buoyant properties and floats above the liquid contained in the container.
7 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 6 , wherein the shape retaining member is adapted to rise with the level of liquid introduced to the container in a collapsed state for erecting the side walls of a collapsed container.
8 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , further comprising a pump device for filtering a liquid within the container.
9 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , further comprising at least two braces connected to the side wall of the container for supporting the container.
10 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 1 , wherein the base and the side wall are water-impermeable materials.
11 . The improved collapsible container according to claim 10 , wherein the container is a swimming pool.
12 . A portable swimming pool comprising:
a base having a perimeter; a side wall erected upright, wherein the side wall includes a top and a bottom, and the side wall coupled to the perimeter of the base; and a plurality of at least translucent sections of the side wall; wherein the sidewall is collapsible for enabling portability of the swimming pool.
13 . The portable swimming pool according to claim 12 , wherein the at least translucent sections of the side wall are transparent.
14 . The portable swimming pool according to claim 12 , wherein the side wall is opaque.
15 . The portable swimming pool according to claim 12 , further comprising a shape retaining member located at the top of the side wall, the shape retaining member floating with the water level in the pool, and thus upon filling the pool with water, the pool being self-erecting, with the shape retaining member rising with the level of water introduced into the pool.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
