Abstract
This invention is directed to a cutting filament for a plant-cutting device such as a scrub cutter or edge trimmer. According to the invention, at least one portion of the filament is made on the basis of a mixture of polyamide 6-6 and of a softening agent. A filament with improved mechanical properties is thereby achieved.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A cutting filament for a plant-cutting device such as a scrub cutter or edge trimmer, wherein at least one portion of the filament is made on the basis of polyamide 6-6 enriched with a softening agent.
. The cutting filament of claim 1 , wherein the softening agent comprises caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 2 , wherein the softening agent essentially consists of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 1 , wherein the filament comprises a first portion forming a body of the filament and a second portion forming at least one area for attacking plants, said first portion being made on the basis of a mixture of polyamide 6-6 and a softening agent.
. The cutting filament of claim 4 , wherein said second portion is also made on the basis of polyamide 6-6.
. The cutting filament of claim 5 , wherein the second portion also contains a softening agent and the first portion contains a larger proportion of softening agent than the second portion.
. The cutting filament of claim 6 , wherein the first portion contains from 6 to 15% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 7 , wherein the first portion contains from 11 to 14% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claimed in claim 6 , wherein the second portion contains from 0 to 4% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 5 , wherein the second portion contains at least one filler product.
. A cutting filament for a plant-cutting device such as a scrub cutter or edge trimmer, comprising a first portion forming a body of the filament and a second portion forming at least one area for attacking plants, wherein said first portion is made on the basis of a mixture of polyamide 6-6 and a softening agent.
. The cutting filament of claim 11 , wherein said second portion is also made on the basis of polyamide 6-6.
. The cutting filament of claim 12 , wherein the second portion also contains a softening agent, and the first portion contains a larger proportion of softening agent than the second portion.
. The cutting filament of claim 13 , wherein the first portion contains from 6 to 15% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 14 , wherein the first portion contains from 11 to 14% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 13 , wherein the second portion contains from 0 to 4% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 12 , wherein the second portion contains at least one filler product.
. A cutting filament for a plant-cutting device such as a scrub cutter or edge trimmer, comprising a first portion forming a body of the filament and a second portion forming at least one area for attacking plants, said first portion being made on the basis of a mixture of polyamide 6-6 and a softening agent, wherein said second portion is essentially distributed in two areas of the filament laid out sideways opposite to each other in the working position of the filament.
. The cutting filament of claim 18 , wherein said second portion is also made on the basis of polyamide 6-6.
. A cutting filament as claimed in claim 19 , wherein the second portion also contains a softening agent, and the first portion contains a larger proportion of softener than the second portion.
. The cutting filament of claim 20 , wherein the first portion contains from 6 to 15% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 21 , wherein the first portion contains from 11 to 14% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 20 , wherein the second portion contains from 0 to 4% of caprolactam.
. The cutting filament of claim 19 , wherein the second portion contains at least one filler product.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
