Promotional display panel

Abstract

A display panel for associating a promotional item with a product is provided. The display panel includes wells to retain the promotional item in a fixed location. The display panel also includes side attachment means for adhering the panel to the associated product.

1 . A display panel for attaching a promotional item to a box, said panel comprising a clear support surface and at least two side attachment means.  
   
   
       2 . A display panel according to  claim 1  wherein the support surface comprises at least one well for supporting and retaining a promotional item.  
   
   
       3 . A display panel according to  claim 2  wherein said at least one well is upwardly opening.  
   
   
       4 . A display panel according to  claim 2  wherein said at least one well is downwardly opening.  
   
   
       5 . A display panel according to  claim 2  further comprising a sealing surface over the opening of the well.  
   
   
       6 . A display panel according to  claim 1  further comprising a backing.  
   
   
       7 . A display panel according to  claim 6  wherein the backing is printed cardboard.  
   
   
       8 . A display panel according to  claim 2  comprising a well adapted to retain playing cards.  
   
   
       9 . A display panel according to  claim 8  further comprising at least one well adapted to retain poker chips.  
   
   
       10 . A display panel according to  claim 2  comprising at least one well adapted to retain a promotional item selected from the group consisting of a T-shirt, a calendar, a Frisbee, sunglasses, darts, cap, toque, scarf, CD, DVD, key chain, bottle opener and the like.  
   
   
       11 . A display panel according to  claim 1  wherein the side attachment means comprises a strip of PVC disposed along one side of the display panel.  
   
   
       12 . A display panel according to  claim 11  wherein the strip of PVC includes an adhesive strip.  
   
   
       13 . A method of attaching a promotional item to a product, said method comprising: obtaining a display panel as defined in  claim 2 , inserting the promotional item into a well adapted to retain it, placing the display panel on top of a box, and adhering the attachment means to at least two sides of the box.
