Abstract

A reusable golf tee that allows the golf tee to pivot away from the direction of flight of the golf ball when the golf ball is struck. The pivoting action of the tee reduces friction between the golf ball and the tee at the time of impact. The surface of the tee is smooth to further reduce friction. The tee is comprised of a circular perch for holding a golf ball from which a single shaft extends. This shaft projects downward from the circular perch at an angle of approximately 45 degrees for a distance that is varied to accommodate different golf clubs. The shaft then again projects downward approximately 45 degrees to a tapered tip that will facilitate insertion of the pivoting tee into the ground.
