Method of playing a poker-type game

Abstract

A method of playing a poker-type game where a player wagers on a game that has two cards revealed in each of a plurality of hands. Three community cards are revealed followed by a second round of wagering where the player must either raise, check, or fold each of the hands. The three community cards are part of each hand. Two more community cards are revealed and the winning hand is determined where each hand is a combination of the first two cards and the five community cards.

1 . A method of playing a poker-type game with at least one 52-card deck of playing cards, said method comprising the following steps in the order set forth: 
 (a) revealing a first at least one playing card in each of a plurality of hands;    (b) a player wagering on said game in a first wagering round;    (c) revealing a second at least one playing card after said first wagering round, said second at least one playing card being part of each of said hands;    (d) providing said player with the option of raising or folding each of said hands in a second wagering round;    (e) revealing a third at least one playing card, said third at least one playing card being part of each of said hands;    (f) determining if any of said hands has a predetermined combination; and    (g) paying said player a payout amount if at least one of said hands has said predetermined combination.    
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said first at least one playing card is two playing cards, said second at least one playing card is three playing cards, and said third at least one playing card is two playing cards.  
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising the steps of, after revealing said third at least one playing card and prior to determining if any of said hands has said predetermined combination, providing said player with the option of raising or folding each of said hands in a third wagering round, and revealing a fourth at least one playing card, said fourth at least one playing card being part of each of said hands.  
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 3  wherein said first at least one playing card is two playing cards, said second at least one playing card is three playing cards, said third at least one playing card is one playing card, and said fourth at least one playing card is one playing card.  
   
   
       5 . The method of  claim 3  further comprising providing said player the option of checking each of said hands in said second wagering round and said third wagering round.  
   
   
       6 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising permitting said player to wager on a side bet, said player winning a predetermined amount if said second at least one playing card has a predetermined combination of playing cards.  
   
   
       7 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising permitting said player to wager on a side bet, said player winning a predetermined amount if a combination of said second at least one playing card and said third at least one playing card has a predetermined combination of playing cards.  
   
   
       8 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising providing said player the option of checking each of said hands in said second wagering round.  
   
   
       9 . A method of playing a succession of poker-type games with at least one 52-card deck of playing cards, said method comprising the following steps in the order set forth: 
 (a) providing a plurality of hands each having at least one predetermined, revealed playing card;    (b) removing said revealed playing cards from said deck; and    (c) playing said poker-type game a plurality of times in succession, said game comprising the following steps in the order set forth: (1) a player wagering on said game in a first wagering round; (2) revealing a second at least one playing card after said first wagering round, said second at least one playing card being part of each of said hands; (3) providing said player with the option of raising or folding each of said hands in a second wagering round; (4) revealing a third at least one playing card, said third at least one playing card being part of each of said hands; (5) determining if any of said hands has a predetermined combination; and (6) paying said player a payout amount if at least one of said hands has said predetermined combination;    (d) whereby said at least one predetermined, revealed playing card remains the same for each of said games of said succession of games.    
   
   
       10 . The method of  claim 9  wherein said first at least one playing card is two playing cards, said second at least one playing card is three playing cards, and said third at least one playing card is two playing cards.  
   
   
       11 . The method of  claim 9  further comprising the steps of, after revealing said third at least one playing card and prior to determining if any of said hands has said predetermined combination, providing said player with the option of raising or folding each of said hands in a third wagering round, and revealing a fourth at least one playing card, said fourth at least one playing card being part of each of said hands.  
   
   
       12 . The method of  claim 11  wherein said first at least one playing card is two playing cards, said second at least one playing card is three playing cards, said third at least one playing card is one playing card, and said fourth at least one playing card is one playing card.  
   
   
       13 . The method of  claim 11  further comprising providing said player the option of checking each of said hands in said second wagering round and said third wagering round.  
   
   
       14 . The method of  claim 9  further comprising permitting said player to wager on a side bet, said player winning a predetermined amount if said second at least one playing card has a predetermined combination of playing cards.  
   
   
       15 . The method of  claim 9  further comprising permitting said player to wager on a side bet, said player winning a predetermined amount if a combination of said second at least one playing card and said third at least one playing card has a predetermined combination of playing cards.  
   
   
       16 . The method of  claim 9  further comprising providing said player the option of checking each of said hands in said second wagering round.
