Two card draw poker casino game

Abstract

A player is designated as the ‘banker’. The ‘banker’ moves clockwise from player to player as each game is completed. The dealer deals the first card to the player immediately clockwise of the player who is the ‘banker’. The cards are then continued to be dealt one by one in a clockwise fashion until all players have received 2 cards. Each player has the option to keep both cards or to discard at most 1 card. Play again moves clockwise starting with the player immediately clockwise of the player who has been designated as the ‘banker’ for this game. All 2 card hands are then displayed. Each player starts with their highest scoring card and compares it with the ‘banker’ highest score card. Each player then compares their second highest card to the ‘banker’ second highest card. The ‘banker’ wins against a player if both of his/her cards beat the player's cards.

A method of playing a casino game using a standard deck of playing cards comprising: (a) the players place their bets on their respective betting areas: (b) the dealing an initial hand consisting of two cards to each player: (c) permitting the player to discard none, or one card from the player's initial hand: (d) all discarded cards are replenished from the deck: (e) all players compare their hands against the banker:(f) Each player starts with their highest scoring card compares it with the banker highest score card: (g) Each player starts with their second highest scoring card compares it with the banker second highest score card: (h) The banker loses to a player if both of his/her cards are beat: (i ) The banker wins against a player if both of his/her cards beat the player's cards: (j ) determining the ranking of the player's final hand against the banker based on each card's face value.  
   
   
       2 . A method of playing a casino game as is described in  claim 1 , wherein the player makes a wager to participate in the method of play and providing the player with an award based on the ranking of the player's final hand as compared against the banker hand.  
   
   
       3 . A method of playing a casino game as is described in  claim 2 , wherein the award is determined by comparing the rankings of each card in the player's hand against the banker (see  FIG. 2 ) and the amount of the player's wager.  
   
   
       4 . A method of playing a casino game as is described in  claim 3 , wherein the rankings is: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, “2”. with “Ace” being the highest ranking card and “King” being the second highest card . . . “2” being the lowest ranking card.
