Abstract

In order to decorate a conservatory made from aluminium structural members and plastics covers and cappings, such covers and/or cappings ( 2 ) on eaves beams ( 1 ) or windowsills, for example, are arranged to receive decorative inserts ( 3 ).

       38 . A method of decorating a conservatory with a decorative element having an upper edge, a lower edge, a front face and a back face, the method comprising the steps of: 
 affixing a capping member to the conservatory, the capping member having an upper formation defining an upper channel opening downwardly and a lower formation defining a lower channel opening upwardly wherein the upper channel is deeper than the lower channel;    inserting the upper edge of the decorative element into the upper channel;    pivoting the lower edge of the decorative element until the lower edge clear the lower channel; and    dropping the lower edge of the decorative element into the lower channel while retaining the upper edge of the decorative element in the upper channel to expose the front face of the decorative element.    
   
   
       39 . The method of  claim 38  further comprising the steps of 
 removing the decorative element from the capping member;    rotating the decorative element; and    inserting the decorative element back into the capping member to expose the back face of the decorative element.    
   
   
       40 . The method of  claim 38  wherein the step of affixing the capping member to the conservatory includes inserting ribs from the conservatory into slotted formations on the capping member.  
   
   
       41 . The method of  claim 38  wherein the step of affixing the capping member to the conservatory includes attaching a backing component to the conservatory.  
   
   
       42 . The method of  claim 41  wherein clips on the capping member cooperate with clips on the backing component to affix the capping member to the conservatory.
