Abstract

In an array of cooperating parts useful to form a portable satellite dish antenna mount base an assortment of attachments is provided to secure the base to a marina storage box, structural elements of a stabilized recreational vehicle and also to ground. At the same time the interface between the base and the mount itself may be tapered along interfering tapers to render the assembly and disassembly convenient. Once assembled an end mounting post on the mount is aligned to a vertical alignment with the assistance of a bubble level in the post end to support the dish antenna thereon. The base may further include a magnetic compass to aid in the antenna alignment.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 9 . (canceled)

10 . A portable satellite dish system, comprising:
a satellite dish; a tubular sleeve having an interior bore and a threaded through hole, the tubular sleeve connected to the satellite dish; and a wing nut that advances through the threaded through hole.

11 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 10 further comprising a post for fitting into the interior bore of the tubular sleeve and wherein the wing nut is used to secure the post to the tubular sleeve using one's fingers.

12 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 11 further comprising a leveling bubble positioned within the post.

13 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 11 further comprising a universal joint connected to the post for adjusting the post.

14 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 13 further comprising a mounting pole having a top end connected to the universal joint and a bottom end being tapered and threaded.

15 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 14 further comprising a base having an annulus for receiving the bottom end of the mounting pole.

16 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 15 wherein the base has azimuth markings.

17 . The portable satellite dish system of claim 15 further comprising a compass connected to the base.

18 . A satellite dish mounting apparatus, comprising:
a satellite dish; a mounting post having a top end, a bottom end and a universal pivot member positioned between the top end and the bottom end; and a locking member attached to the satellite dish, the locking member comprising a tubular sleeve having an inner opening for receiving the top end of the mounting post and having a threaded through hole and a wing nut for traveling through the threaded through hole to secure the mounting post.

19 . The satellite dish mounting apparatus of claim 18 further comprising a leveling bubble positioned within the top end of the mounting post.

20 . The satellite dish mounting apparatus of claim 18 wherein the bottom end of the mounting post is tapered to a threaded cylinder.

21 . The satellite dish mounting apparatus of claim 18 further comprising a base defining a cavity for mating with the bottom end of the mounting post.

22 . The satellite dish mounting apparatus of claim 21 wherein the base has azimuth markings.

23 . The satellite dish mounting apparatus of claim 21 further comprising a compass attached to the base.
