Abstract
The pole climber is designed to allow an individual to move vertically up and down a tree or pole with little physical exertion, depending instead on the power and design of the device. An electrically powered motor and pair of metal drums set on opposite ends of a bar-like component, the drums fitted with metal teeth, or spikes would turn, biting into the surface being climbed. The individual stands or sits on the platform while operating the motor, that turns the drums, moving the device and person vertically up & down as desired.
