A new method for creating slot machines and other gaming devices where outcomes are fair, but players and operators realize traditional payback and hold percentages, respectively.

A method of provided game play to a player, the method of providing game play comprising: a) offering to such player a chance game, b) said chance game having an equal probability of one or more events occurring; c) said chance game offering a pay method based on achieving one or more said events, d) said pay method being selectively altered, randomly altered or both by one or more means, e) allowing such player to play the chance game.
