Abstract
An apparatus as provided for onsite generation of oxygen and the generation of high pressure oxygen for use in contaminant remediation. Multiple low horsepower compressors are utilized to generate a high pressure source of oxygen received from an oxygen generator for injection of high concentration oxygen gas into an environment needing remediation from contaminants.

4 . An apparatus for generation of high pressure oxygen through the use of a plurality of low horsepower compressors comprising:
at least one means for producing a gas stream containing a high concentration of oxygen, at least one oxygen purity analyzer for testing the concentration of oxygen in said produced gas stream, a plurality of oxygen pressure booster units each unit comprising a low horsepower compressor each compressor being connected to said means for producing the concentrated oxygen gas stream for receiving a low-pressure, high concentration oxygen gas stream therefrom, and a means for adjusting an oxygen output pressure from said plurality of oxygen pressure booster units.
5 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said means for oxygen concentration is a pressure swing absorption oxygen concentrator.
6 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said horsepower of each of said plurality of compressors is less than 1 horsepower.
7 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said horsepower of each of said plurality of compressors is less that 3 horsepower.
8 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said horsepower of each of said plurality of compressors is less than 5 horsepower.
9 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said horsepower of each of said plurality of compressors is less than 7 horsepower.
10 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said horsepower of each of said plurality of compressors is less than 10 horsepower.
11 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said means for producing concentrated oxygen generates oxygen at a concentration of less than 99%.
12 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said means for producing concentrated oxygen generates oxygen at a concentration of less than 90%.
13 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 4 wherein said means for producing concentrated oxygen generates oxygen at a concentration of at least 88%.
