Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions that may be swallowable, chewable or dissolvable, comprising various vitamins and minerals, and in a specific embodiment comprising vitamin A, beta carotene, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D 3 , vitamin E, iron, magnesium and zinc, and methods for using these compositions for nutritional supplementation in subjects undergoing physiologically stressful events, such as, for example and without limitation, pregnancy, lactation or any disease state.

about 300 IU to about 900 IU beta-carotene, about 12 mg to about 38 mg of magnesium as magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, non-chelated iron and
vitamins consisting of vitamin C as ascorbic acid, about 200 IU to about 600 IU of vitamin D 3 as cholecalciferol, vitamin E as d-alpha-tocopheryl succinate, vitamin B 1 as thiamine mononitrate, vitamin B 2 as riboflavin, vitamin B 3 as niacinamide, vitamin B 6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride, about 500 μg to about 1500 μg of vitamin B 9 as folic acid and vitamin B 12 as cyanocobalamin,
wherein said composition is substantially free of added Vitamin A, alpha-carotene, zeaxanthin, Vitamin B 4 , Vitamin B 5 , Vitamin B 8 , Vitamin B 10 , Vitamin B 11 , copper, manganese, boron, odorless garlic, coenzyme Q-10, 1-carnitine, grape seed extract, green tea extract, quercetin, and hawthorne berries.
2 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising about 1 mg to about 3 mg of Vitamin B 2 .
3 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising about 800 μg to about 1200 μg of Vitamin B 9 .
4 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising about 320 IU to about 480 IU of Vitamin D 3 .
5 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising about 480 IU to about 720 IU of beta-carotene.
6 . The composition of claim 1 , comprising about 14 mg to about 44 mg of non-chelated iron.
