Display case

Abstract

A display case includes a base on which is mounted a back wall. The back wall has openable doors for access to the interior of the case. Side walls are also mounted on the base. A front wall is mounted on the base. The front wall slants rearwardly and downwardly from its upper portion to provide foot and leg room for a customer standing in front of the case. A top is fastened to the upper edges of the back wall, side walls, and front wall to enclose the interior of the display case. Preferably, the front wall, top, and side walls of the display case are transparent. The interior of the display case may contain a variety of shelf configurations.

1 . A display case, comprising: 
 a base;    a back wall mounted on the base;    side walls mounted on the base; and    a front wall mounted on the base, said front wall sloping rearwardly and downwardly from its upper portion to provide foot and leg room for a customer standing in front of the case; and    a top fastened to the upper edges of the back wall, side walls and front wall thereby enclosing the interior of the case.    
   
   
       2 . The case of  claim 1 , wherein said top and said front walls are transparent.  
   
   
       3 . The case of  claim 1 , further comprising: 
 at least one shelf mounted in the interior of the case.    
   
   
       4 . The case of  claim 3  wherein said shelf is transparent.  
   
   
       5 . The case of  claim 4 , wherein said side walls are transparent.  
   
   
       6 . The case of  claim 1 , wherein said side walls slant inwardly and downwardly from their upper portions.  
   
   
       7 . The case of  claim 6 , wherein the base has front and side surfaces, said front and side surfaces extending downwardly and inwardly in coplanar relationship respectively with said front and side walls of said case.  
   
   
       8 . The case of  claim 7 , wherein said side walls, said front wall and said top are transparent.  
   
   
       9 . The case of  claim 1 , further comprising: 
 a refrigeration unit mounted in the base, said refrigeration unit having an air delivery system associated therewith for delivering cooled air to the interior of said case.    
   
   
       10 . The case of  claim 9 , wherein said base has an upper surface forming the floor of the interior of the case, said floor having a grill therein for communicating with the air delivery unit of the refrigeration unit for circulating cooled air to the interior of the case.  
   
   
       11 . The case of  claim 10 , wherein said grill is located along the forward edge of the upper surface of the base adjacent to the front wall of the case.  
   
   
       12 . The case of  claim 1 , further comprising: 
 first and second vertical walls located interior of said case, said vertical walls extending downwardly from the upper wall of the case and from the front wall to the rear wall of the case, said first and second vertical walls dividing said case into first and second end compartments and a central compartment.    
   
   
       13 . The case of  claim 12 , further comprising at least one shelf mounted in the central compartment of the case, said shelf located in said central compartment and extending between said vertical walls.  
   
   
       14 . The case of  claim 12 , wherein only said central compartment is refrigerated.  
   
   
       15 . The case of  claim 12 , wherein said shelf extends from the rear wall of said central compartment only part way toward the front wall of said case leaving a gap between the forward edge of said shelf and the front wall of said case.  
   
   
       16 . The case of  claim 1 , wherein said back wall has openable doors therein.
