Abstract
A method for wrapping a pot having a floral grouping supported therein which includes providing a cover about the pot, providing a tubular sleeve having a detaching element for defining a detachable upper portion and a band formed by a lower portion when the detachable upper portion is detached, and disposing the pot having the cover thereabout within the tubular sleeve such that the cover is secured about the pot by the band formed of the lower portion of the tubular sleeve when the upper portion thereof is detached.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for wrapping a pot having a floral grouping supported therein, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a pot having a floral grouping supported therein, the floral grouping having a bloom end and a stem end; providing a sheet of material capable of being wrapped about at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the pot; wrapping the sheet of material about at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the pot to provide the pot with a decorative cover; providing a tubular sleeve having an open lower end, an open upper end and a pot receiving space extending therebetween, the tubular sleeve having a detaching element provided therein for defining a detachable upper portion and a band formed by the lower portion when the detachable upper portion is detached; disposing the pot having the decorative cover in the pot receiving space of the tubular sleeve whereby the decorative cover is secured in a stable position about at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the pot by the band formed from the lower portion of the tubular sleeve when the upper portion thereof is detached from the lower portion.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing a sheet of material capable of being wrapped about at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the pot, the sheet of material is a substantially flat square-shaped sheet of material having four corners and wherein the four corners of the sheet of material are flared so as to extend a distance outwardly and upwardly from the pot when the sheet of material is wrapped about at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the pot to provide the pot with the decorative cover.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein, in the step of providing a sheet of material capable of being wrapped about at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the pot, the sheet of material has a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
4 . The method of claim 3 wherein the sheet of material is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
5 . The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing a sheet of material capable of being wrapped about at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the pot, the sheet of material is a substantially flat, flexible sheet of material.
6 . The method of claim 5 wherein the substantially flat square sheet of material has a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
7 . The method of claim 6 wherein the substantially flat square sheet of material is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
8 . The method of claim 7 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the tubular sleeve is fabricated of a material having a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
9 . The method of claim 8 wherein the tubular sleeve is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
10 . The method of claim 9 further comprising the step of detaching the detachable upper portion of the tubular sleeve from the lower portion thereof whereby the band defined by the lower portion of the tubular sleeve extends about a portion of the decorative cover and secures the decorative cover about the outer peripheral surface of the pot.
11 . The method of claim 1 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the tubular sleeve is fabricated of a material having a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
12 . The method of claim 11 wherein the tubular sleeve is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
13 . The method of claim 12 further comprising the step of detaching the detachable upper portion of the tubular sleeve from the lower portion thereof whereby the band defined by the lower portion of the tubular sleeve extends about a portion of the decorative cover and secures the decorative cover about the outer peripheral surface of the pot.
14 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of detaching the detachable upper portion of the tubular sleeve from the lower portion thereof whereby the band defined by the lower portion of the tubular sleeve extends about a portion of the decorative cover and secures the decorative cover about the outer peripheral surface of the pot.
15 . A method for wrapping a pot to provide a cover for the pot, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a pot having a floral grouping supported therein, the floral grouping having a bloom end and a stem end; providing a cover having a pot receiving space shaped and sized to receive the pot; disposing the pot in the pot receiving space of the cover such that the cover extends about at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the pot; providing a tubular sleeve having an open lower end, an open upper end and a receiving space extending therebetween, the tubular sleeve having a detaching element provided therein for defining a detachable upper portion and a band formed by the lower portion when the detachable upper portion is removed from the lower portion; disposing the cover having the pot disposed therein in the receiving space of the tubular sleeve whereby the cover is secured in a stable position about at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the pot by the band formed from the lower portion of the tubular sleeve when the upper portion thereof is detached from the lower portion.
16 . The method of claim 15 wherein, in the step of providing a cover having a pot receiving space, the cover is fabricated of a sheet of material having a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
17 . The method of claim 16 wherein the sheet of material is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
18 . The method of claim 17 wherein, in the step of providing a tubular sleeve, the tubular sleeve is fabricated of a material having a thickness in the range of from about 0.1 mil to about 30 mil.
19 . The method of claim 18 wherein the tubular sleeve is constructed of a material selected from the group consisting of paper, metal, foil, polymeric material, cloth, burlap and laminations and combinations.
20 . The method of claim 19 further comprising the step of detaching the detachable upper portion of the tubular sleeve from the lower portion thereof whereby the band defined by the lower portion of the tubular sleeve is disposed about a portion of the cover and secures the cover about the outer peripheral surface of the pot.
21 . The method of claim 15 further comprising the step of detaching the detachable upper portion of the tubular sleeve from the lower portion thereof whereby the band defined by the lower portion of the tubular sleeve is disposed about a portion of the cover and secures the cover about the outer peripheral surface of the pot.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
