Abstract
A chain operator housing ( 1 ) comprising a barrier member ( 16 ) for subdividing the interior of said operator housing ( 1 ) into an operator chain compartment, which is open to the exterior, and a drive compartment, which is substantially sealed from the exterior.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A chain operator housing having an interior, comprising:
a barrier member for subdividing the interior of said operator housing into an operator chain compartment, which is open to the exterior, and a drive compartment, which is substantially sealed from the exterior, wherein the barrier member is a separate member that is insertable into said chain operator housing.
2 . A chain operator housing according to claim 1 , wherein the barrier member comprises a bearing surface against which an operator chain may slide.
3 . A chain operator housing according to claim 1 , wherein the barrier member is an injection molded plastic member.
4 . A chain operator housing according to claim 1 , wherein the barrier member comprises positioning means for positioning the barrier member with respect to said operator housing, said positioning means cooperating with said operator housing.
5 . A chain operator housing according to claim 1 , wherein said operator housing comprises means for attaching a chain magazine to said operator housing.
6 . A chain operator housing according to claim 1 , further comprising a substantially planar bottom wall and a protrusion extending externally from said bottom wall.
7 . A chain operator for windows, comprising:
an operator chain; an operator housing comprising an exit opening for said operator chain; a sprocket for driving said operator chain in and out of said exit opening; and at least one gear wheel in fixed coaxial connection with said sprocket, wherein a barrier member is arranged within said operator housing, said barrier member comprising a barrier arranged between said exit opening and at least most of said gear wheel.
8 . A chain operator according to claim 7 , wherein the barrier member is a separate member that is insertable into said chain operator housing.
9 . A chain operator according to claim 7 , wherein the barrier member further comprises a bearing surface against which the operator chain may slide.
10 . A chain operator according to claim 7 , wherein the barrier member is an injection molded plastic member.
11 . A chain operator according to claim 7 , wherein the barrier member further comprises positioning means for positioning the barrier member with respect to said operator housing, said positioning means cooperating with said operator housing.
12 . A chain operator for windows, comprising
an operator chain; an operator housing comprising an entry opening for said operator chain and an exit opening for said operator chain and a sprocket for driving said operator chain into and out of said exit opening, wherein said operator housing further comprises attachment means for attaching a chain magazine to said operator housing and in communication with said entry opening.
13 . A chain operator according to claim 12 , wherein said attachment means comprises profiled rails on said operator housing.
14 . A chain operator according to claim 13 , wherein said profiled rails comprise a cross section selected among the group of substantially T shaped, substantially L shaped, keyhole shaped and dovetail profiles.
15 . A chain operator according to claim 14 , wherein said attachment means further comprises an undercut groove.
16 . A chain operator according to claim 15 , wherein said undercut groove comprises a cross section selected among the group of substantially T shaped, substantially L shaped, and dovetail cross sections.
17 . A chain operator housing ( 1 ) comprising a substantially planar bottom wall and a protrusion extending externally from said bottom wall.
18 . A chain operator housing comprising.
an entry opening for an operator chain; an exit opening for the operator chain; and attachment means for attaching a chain magazine to said operator housing and in communication with said entry opening.
19 . A chain magazine comprising
a housing; and attachment means for releasably attaching the chain magazine to a chain operator without the use of tools.
20 . A stop member for an operator chain in a chain operator, wherein the operator chain has a width, rivet holes and rivets, comprising a pin arranged in a rivet hole not occupied by a rivet in the operator chain, said pin having a length exceeding the width of the operator chain.
21 . A stop member according to claim 20 , wherein the pin is cylindrical with a diameter corresponding essentially to that of the rivet hole.
22 . A stop member according to claim 21 , wherein said the diameter of the pin is slightly smaller than that of the rivet hole, so as to be loosely held in said rivet hole.
23 . A chain operator housing according to claim 17 , further comprising a cylindrical wall portion extending internally from said bottom wall, said cylindrical wall portion defining a bore for holding a spindle on which a sprocket and gearwheel assembly is mounted.
24 . A chain operator housing according to claim 23 , wherein said bore extends at least partially through the substantially planar bottom wall in a direction towards the external protrusion.
25 . A chain operator housing according to claim 24 , wherein said bore extends through the substantially planar wall into the external protrusion.
26 . A chain operator housing according to claim 17 , wherein said protrusion is cylindrical.
27 . A chain operator housing according to claim 23 , wherein the end surface of the cylindrical wall portion forms a bearing surface for the sprocket and gearwheel assembly.
28 . A chain operator housing according to claim 2 , wherein the barrier member is an injection molded plastic member.
29 . A chain operator according to claim 7 , further comprising a stop member for the operator chain, wherein the operator chain has a width, rivet holes and rivets, and the stop member comprises a pin arranged in a rivet hole not occupied by a rivet in the operator chain, said pin having a length exceeding the width of the operator chain.
30 . A chain operator according to claim 12 , further comprising a chain magazine having a housing and attachment means for releasably attaching the chain magazine to the operator housing without the use of tools.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
