Methods for constructing a building and resulting building

Abstract

The subject invention pertains to a method for constructing, transporting and erecting buildings. The subject invention also relates to buildings which can be transported and erected at a desired site. Advantageously, a specific embodiment of the subject invention can be relocatable. The subject invention is advantageous in situations where an individual or group, such as a school system or construction company, needs temporary, portable buildings which can easily be constructed and broken down for transportation to a new site. In a specific embodiment, the subject method utilizes durable construction materials to comply with building codes and withstand the rigors of years of service in a variety of environmental conditions in addition to providing rapid construction and relocation benefits.

1 . A method for installing a transported building section, comprising 
 forming a transportable building section;    forming at an installation location an installation foundation layout upon which the transportable building section can be installed;    transporting the transportable building section to the installation location; and    placing the transportable building section onto the installation foundation layout.    
   
   
       2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein forming a transportable building section comprises: 
 forming a foundation layout upon which a transportable building section can be constructed;    positioning a floor panel on the foundation layout;    attaching a wall panel to a first side of the floor panel;    attaching a first end panel to a first end of the floor panel;    attaching a second end panel to a second end of the floor panel; and    securing each of the end panels to the wall panel.    
   
   
       3 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein forming a transportable building section further comprises: 
 attaching at least one bracing structure, wherein each of the at least one bracing structure is attached by attaching the bracing structure to at least two of the wall panel, floor panel, the first end panel, and the second end panel.    
   
   
       4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein forming a transportable building section further comprises: 
 attaching at least one transportation structure to a corresponding at least one relocation notch of the floor panel wherein lifting the at least one transportation structure lifts the transportable building section.    
   
   
       5 . The method according to  claim 4 , further comprising removing the at least one transportation structure connected to the transportable building section after lifting the transportable building section.  
   
   
       6 . The method according to  claim 3 , further comprising: 
 removing the at least one bracing structure attached to the transportable building section after placing the transportable building section onto the installation foundation layout.    
   
   
       7 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising attaching the transportable building section to the installation foundation layout.  
   
   
       8 . The method according to  claim 2 , further comprising attaching a second wall panel to a second side of a floor panel of the transportable building section after placing the transportable building section onto the installation foundation layout.  
   
   
       9 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein forming a transportable building section further comprises: 
 attaching a reinforcing structure, wherein the reinforcing structure is capable of supporting a roof.    
   
   
       10 . The method according to  claim 9 , 
 wherein attaching a reinforcing structure comprises attaching a first end of the reinforcing structure to the first end panel and attaching a second end of the reinforcing structure to the second end panel.    
   
   
       11 . The method according to  claim 9 , wherein forming a transportable building section further comprises: 
 attaching roof support structures between the reinforcing structure and the wall panel.    
   
   
       12 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein said attaching of said wall panel to said first side of said floor panel is performed after attaching said first end panel to said first end of said floor panel and said second end panel to said second end of said floor panel and then secured to said first end panel and said second end panel.  
   
   
       13 . A method for constructing a building module, comprising: 
 forming a building module foundation layout upon which at least one building module can be constructed;    positioning a first building section and a second building section on the building module foundation layout; and    attaching the first building section to the second building section.    
   
   
       14 . The method according to  claim 13 , wherein the first building section and the second building section are each constructed via a method for forming a building section comprising: 
 forming a foundation layout upon which a transportable building section can be constructed;    positioning a floor panel on the foundation layout;    attaching a wall panel to a first side of the floor panel;    attaching a first end panel to a first end of the floor panel;    attaching a second end panel to a second end of the floor panel; and    securing each of the end panels to the wall panel.    
   
   
       15 . The method according to  claim 13 , further comprising attaching a ridge cover plate to the first and second building sections.  
   
   
       16 . The method according to  claim 14 , wherein the method for forming a building section further comprises: 
 attaching at least one bracing structure, wherein each of the at least one bracing structure is attached by attaching the bracing structure to at least two of the wall panel, floor panel, the first end panel, and the second end panel.    
   
   
       17 . The method according to  claim 16 , wherein the method for forming a building section further comprises: 
 attaching a reinforcing structure, wherein the reinforcing structure is capable of supporting a roof.    
   
   
       18 . The method according to  claim 17 , 
 wherein attaching a reinforcing structure comprises attaching a first end of the reinforcing structure to the first end panel and attaching a second end of the reinforcing structure to the second end panel.    
   
   
       19 . The method according to  claim 17 , further comprises: 
 attaching roof support structures between the reinforcing structure and the wall panel.
